Real thigh smacking, foot tapping, finger snapping hot 1930s jazz - just couldn't keep still. And that sax - makes all my nerve endings quiver in sympathy.
I Agree, He Does Remind Of Tom Stacks. Boath Have A Cute But Mischievous Air About There Vocals, I Love To Hear Thim Boath. Another Favorit Of Mine I Have On A CROWN 78 R.P.M Record By Dick Robertson Is "Mouthful O` Jam" With Joel Shaw`s Orchestra. As Well As Many Others.
I Bought This Record Around 5 Years Agao, And Can Never Get Tired Of It . Love Everything About It Dick Robertson Is One Of My Favorit Vocalest. The Banjo Beat Drives Me Crazy,"In A Good Way Of Corce" It`s Just A Awsome Record. Thank You For Posting.
Here's at last someone who duly apreciates Dick Robertson! I am the same enthusiast of his singing. Unfortunately, he was less successful later, when he lead his band. His voice remainds me a little of that great - and so miserable - Tom Stacks, vocalist of Harry Reser's
Lively as a bowl of jelly beans. :)) Those ladies dancing in the Potomac River with the Washington Monument in the background would probably be surrounded by security guards these days. :((
Oh B., It's exactly what I was thinking while watching that outstanding photo. Just imagine! - to go today in your bathing suit and swim in Potomac River, in front of the Whole World, and Whole Press of the World, and Mr President himself, immediately signing your death penalty for such offense!
I agree fully, except for the reference to Prez Obama. He would probably dance in the river himself if not for the Secret Service and others like them in the name of anti-terrorism. Not that there isn't some justification. . .
Super swing number! I loved the college photos of the sophomores, especially the ones in DC! The piano solo is inventive, AND the lyrics are not only amusing, but good advice too! *****
I rather fancy a 'Collegiate Shag' about now.
