Hey Joe, You are as hot as you were the first time I heard you at the Avondale in Tulsa Oklahoma. I still wear the t you gave me, Keep kickin' it lill' bro. Trebor Redins. Oh bad news Smitty Died a year ago
@leomilani123 listened to Johnny Winter recently? He's half dead, has literally lost his voice and goes on tour just because of the few bucks he has to earn to finance his drug addiction... He's the past, Bonamassa the present and hopefully the future :)
If you like this, listen to a guitarist called Philip Sayce. He played with Bonamassa once, and then Joe turned round and asked him just what the hell he was doing - he should be a solo act! Pure soul - really fantastic.
Joe Bonamassa is so good he should be burned at the stake. I think he's a better songwriter than he gets credit for. We all know he has tons of chops, but he's coming into his own as a writer too!
This is a fucking aswsome tune all round...... fantastic live performance guitar and vocals... try playing like that and sing that well....... and one of the best live solos ;)
These are the best played live solos I have seen since the late 1970's and the sound he got here is wonderful. Right .. I am off to the workshop to build me an Esquire now !!!!
I was informed that the inspiration of this song came from a true life break up with a girl friend of his early on. I can't imagine any girl bypassing Joe. I'm sure she now feels like the girl who purchased the winning lottery ticket, and foolishly threw it away the day before the drawing. Joe is super handsome in this video, she could have shared and partook of his fame, and traveled worldwide with her husband and enjoyed his music. Wonder who she ended up with? We love you Joe, fans W.W.
this is a great version of miss you hate you,for me the best.its not a problem to put some uptempo songs in a blues set.i like this song verry much.
the telecaster he is playing is a "fender esquire".he has 1 pickup(singlecoil) on the bridge.the pickup swich is there to change circuit,to get different sounds.i totaly agree,he sounds great!.
I agree... He never plays his old stuff now.... His old original songs are far better than most the crappy covers he does these days.. Saw him at the Royal albert hall and 70 % or songs he played were covers....
There's a reason Clapton jammed with him....... just saying. Joe is getting better and better IMO. We're all entitled to have our own viewpoints..... I enjoy his new stuff more.
I don't see a problem with a singer, but it's certainly not "Shitty". If you want shitty vocals go listen to Nirvana, 'cause Kurt couldn't sing. Joe Bonamassa is one of the best guitarists out there nowadays and he's a great bluesman.
@JesuitFarmer It was unique in the way that they're shit vocals, but it works with the music. He really couldn't sing for shit, but that's what was so good.

Johnny Winter is a sick man. If he's got a drug addiction, you can thank pharma. He's sick, you should have more respect.

I agree with bencantona he needs to do a mix of the songs from so its like that cd,you and me ,sloe gin ,john henrey, and blues deluxe :P
And he needs to make some more poppy songs like this one !! (but all his songs are great lets get that straight)

Bencantona, around 2 songs off the cd New Day Yesterday were originals, rest covers. This was one of the originals.

this song has a weird 90's vibe, and he should stop singing shitty like john mayer.

It's amazing how you can drag John Mayer into a clip with Bonamassa. His Voice doesn't sound anything like Mayer nor does this song.
This song is great, so is John Mayer.
