A film genre (disputed) inspired by German Expressionism, which draws from dark, minimal sources but never evil, elegance, eerie atmosphere and ambience while conjuring a surreal quality that permeates throughout the art work. A perfect description of Trentemoller's music! Please do not insult Film Noir, which is in many opinion one of the very few styles of film making not soiled by Hollywood greed.
