If you're worried about moisture, might wanna throw a desiccant in there. Like a reusable packet of silica gel. Removes moisture from the air inside the box.
I have a 52' rifle case that has the same foam squares that punch out. I found that they were actually kind of annoying when I was cutting them out for my shotgun. The little squares don't match up with the curves of the gun, so you don't really get a snug fit. I ended up with some half-cut squares because I decided to trace the outline and just cut along that line.
This case sorta reminds me of when I went to qualify for an Armored Car co. 10yrs ago. I brought a case filled with different handguns and the firearms guy looked at me like I was an ahole, hahahaha. SKB makes good cases - I use to use them a lot back in the day.
H4T, if you don't mind me asking, what does that Python and 1911 go for if you sold them today and how fast does the price on them increase? Don't worry, I'm not trying to steal them. If I did I bet I'd get shot right away anyway. :P
Looks nice its pretty big though i just got a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec and i was kind of looking for a different hard case for that pistol its the only handgun i have and i don't really wanna get a huge case for it maybe something similar to the hard case it comes with.
nice way to protect them two fine pistols. looks very expensive!
