Tracks hooked up to PC's 4 digital racing & for tracking lap times to the 0.000 of a second!
I'll try to get new video up of all the new tracks and the new store location soon on my "TheGashoseGorilla" Channel! I'm also digging out all my old track! I just started construction the new "International Motor Speedway"! I'll post video of that too!
Main Line Hobbies at the Plymouthy Meeting Mall! It is on the @nd Floor, Second Floor... Right next to the elevator!!!! Can;t miss it!
There are 7 Different Tracks to race on here! 2 Large Scalectrix tracks and a large Ninco Track that are SIX Lanes! One is a "High Bank" track so you can go full throttle...AND there are TWO "Rally" tracks that are 2 lanes. They have a 2 lane "Drag" track too! $15 bucks u get 1 of their cars & a "controller" for a galf hour and you can go race on whatever track you want. BUT!>>** Pay only $40 and then you get an unlimited "membership" for an entire month. Race as much & as long as U want!
These guys just, (October 2011) moved to the Plymouth Meeting Mall! They are gonna get Soooo much more traffic now! Won't just be the little old local hobby store anymore. I expect way more races along with way more customers. Check this place out! It is great for hobbyists and kids alike! I've spent Waaayyy too much money there! LOL!
ah, main line hobbies. that's the place I go to for my slot car racing. I live not too far away from there, and I love the racing there. the cars, the tracks, everything. in fact, I was just there today. I was racing my Scalextric Audi R10 TDI on a set up I've never run on before. They put the two main circuit in the shop together. IT WAS AMAZING! for any slot car fan around Philadelphia, go to main line hobbies. you won't be disappointed. :D
Man I've run there three times already and I love the tracks! The ninco track in particular, non mag ninco classics is just pure addiction. Everything I run from slot.its to nsr's and scaley's is non mag and those tracks are just a joy to run. Great bunch of guys there too!
@blacjazzz you got that right. I actually went there just today, and got a new Renault F1 car (scalextric), and had some fun with the new track configuration they have. great place, and great guys there too. love Main Line Hobbies! :)
i had one of these sets when i was 5, played it 1 day then i left it at the trash, god thats boring... i got an RC car right after because you can actually control their path etc
Cool video, I like the drag strip but you guys ned to take out the magnets or shim'em. way too stuck! I know a lot like to do it that way but more fun to DRIVE the car then zip around like an HO.(my opinion only)
nah it depends on the rpm level of the motor, that and how grippy the tires are, usually if u rub minerla spirits on the tires it helps it stick better
well if you had a fat monster truck it might topple over at a high speed around corners but if you had a low down car then it could stay on the track at high speeds
i remember when i used to do that back in the day.. my slot car literally fell to pieces.. i went around this tight corner and the body, all 4 wheels and the little engine came out of it.. i was like :|... .... damit, and then i gave it up

What's with the wavy gravy drag track?
SyvetheShairks 2 years ago
This Hobby Is so much fun....You have to use a controller to control your speed. So making turns require precision throttling.

winged70bbody2 2 years ago
whats the deal with these is there some skill and do the cars differ in speed, do you control the cars or do you just press a button and watch?
chunk123123 2 years ago
no it isn´nt. the cars are actually realy hard to conroll. even if they turns automaticly
fabulo19 2 years ago
yes there is a lot of skill involved and requires killer reaction time to let off in the turns and jump on the throttle as quick as possible

Nice track and cars. I liked your use of Hard Truck 2 music if thats where it from. Good job on the Herbie slot car too. 5\5.
CyDaSnake 4 years ago
it depends whether they have magnatraction where the motor is how heavy it is and if it has lights or not.
That answered your question adam32191
asymondo4 4 years ago
I use to put oil on the track and make then do burn outs...
I also use to rub steel wool on the track. My slot cars didn't last very long. =-( I know why now.
Corollaboi 4 years ago
wat would make a car go faster than others i dotn get ti wouldnt they all the relatively the same if each has the same voltage or wat ever
Adam32191 4 years ago
nah it depends on the rpm level of the motor, that and how grippy the tires are, usually if u rub minerla spirits on the tires it helps it stick better
RACErocker 4 years ago
o ok spirits like alchol lol ok thanks i was trying to figure out how
Adam32191 4 years ago
You can buy stronger motor's, better gripping tires, lighter bodies and a whole lot more stuff to make it faster.
