Voodoo outputs an old python file that doesn't quite work with the new Blender.

To make it work you need to open the .py file and replace all occurances of set_frame to frame_set. Then replace Matrix([ to Matrix(([. And add the extra ) at the end of the matrix line. Then it'll work. Or should work.

I use Voodoo, and the tracker works great. I import to blender and run the script. No error reports show up but when I go to the 3D view, no points are there and the camera doesn't move like it should. Please help. I've been having to measure camera angles on set and then reproduce them in blender. It takes forever. I can't find anyone else who is having this problem.

You're misunderstanding what the AspX and AspY settings are for. They're the aspect ratio settings for the PIXELS, not the IMAGE. They are both usually 1.00 because most pixels are square. Search the Blender Wikibook for Output Format Options for more explanation.

If you get the "import mathulis" error, at the time of 6:37 you may of chosen at the file extension "Blender 2.5 or higher", if you save one as "blender 2.5 or higher" and one as "Blender 2.5 or lower" and choose the lower version to import into your blender text pannel, it should work :)

this is a really good tutorial that I have found easy to follow (I am totally new to any of these programs and need a dumbass' guide lol) but I have had a problem with running the Python script, which you did before you cut out... for some reason it says "Python script error: check console" and in the script the words "import mathutils" is highlighted in red...? what am I doing wrong that this has happened? Before exporting the Blender Python script in Voodoo, change 2.5x and higher to 2.4x and lower. That will make it work in Blender.

my py script is failing because it says there is an error in the mathutils. its either missing or corrupt and i've tried reinstalling both programs and ive downloaded older versions of python and i cant figure it out. strangely though i can see the BPyMathutils file in the blender folder. any suggestions?

Very nice pair of tutorials. Although to get a frame rate of 29.97 in Blender you actually have to put 30 in the FPS field and then 1.001 in the FPS base field. FPS only accepts integers, the base adjusts it for factional frame rates.

It's wonky but that's how it works. Keep up the good work.
