Sanibel also has the best restaurants ... No chain stores ... Just really nice locally owned bar and grilss and Other great food (Itatlian fish breakfasts etc)

RC Otter's on Captiva has the BEST atmosphere and food of anywhere in SW Florida. Shorts, tank tops, VERY casual atmosphere, and excellent food. It's my favorite restaurant of anywhere. On Sanibel is Pinnochio's Ice Cream with my personal favorite, the Dirty Sand Dollar. DELICIOUS!

They don't mention that you should NEVER go to doggie beach. You will get hurt. I promise, I live on Fort Myers Beach.
