@MrTallChap WRONG. The most complete fighter in history is Floyd Mayweather Jr....who went to Roy Jones Jr boxing gym. They're a lot of similarities between them, but Floyd is complete. Roy always lacked a defense...but he was quick and agile he could get away with it unitl he got old.

I agree that Roy isn't the most complete Boxer but neither is Floyd. The defense argument is irrelevant, any maneuver you use to not get hit is defense. Every Boxer MUST learn classical defense, but if like Roy or Ali you don't use it, you drop the habit.

The most complete fighter I would say is Sugar Ray Robinson. He was the extremely rare specimen of fighter who is not only a skilled technical Boxer, but an effective and tough inside brawler.
