What was that ending about, "If I can make it in America, anyone can." The American Dream can only be believed by those who are sleeping. As a matter of fact, Warren Buffet just testified to Congress how bad is is for the middle class and poor vs 5X wealth for super-rich.

Reid grew up poor in a desert mining town; his dad committed suicide when he was young. Sure, Reid had lots of lucky breaks (having been the protege of a guy who became governor of Nevada), but he also worked hard to get out of what he was born into.
That said, I don't think "anyone can" make it. There are lots of people who are held down by circumstance. As a Democrat, he needs to recognize that and fight for them.

Wow I didn't know Reid came from poor roots, with a suicide. Quite a long journey, for sure.
I think congress has become out-of-touch with the on-the-ground reality most Americans face. I hope he does recognize it, and come down harder on the executive.

You have the power to not fund it. It is his responsibility as commander and chief of the armed forces to bring our troops home if he does not have the money to wage war. This is a joke.
Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Mike Gravel are the only candidates who represent change in our foreign policy.
Its not about left or right...the dems and just as corrupt as the republicans by and large.
