themes are made by you, or others, and if you decide to download, and choose that theme in your spore world, all the creatures in that theme will be in your planet, and all the tribe, and space creatures there will also appear in the tribe and space stages. so stage 2, 3, and 5 will have edited inhabitants.

@Klayperson If you choose a theme, you can collect a group of creations (Sporecasts) and the creations in that group will be much more likely to show up. You can kind of choose what you meet. Pretty neat, right?
