ya know, if you really listen to the story line, you can see that duodecim basically explains the original dissidia story line and fills in some holes in the story, like when kefka told terra about how she used to love hurting people, I think he was refering to either (1) when she was on the side of chaos in this game or (2) the original game when she was being controlled. This scene makes me think of cloud when he said "The one i really want to meet is..." he was talking about tifa!!!

I agree I think he was talking about Tifa, why would he be talking about Aerith, Cloud did not want to fight but when Tifa was in danger that all changed...he was fighting for her and he went to chaos so he could save her (he knew it would cause her to “demise”) but failed and begged cosmos to protect Tifa when Cloud was awoken as a Cosmos warrior he felt like he lost something…so the one he really wanted to meet was….

anyone annoyed as hell that this was the ONLY scene with them? i mean really, it's fine having the heroic sacrifice and all, but they made such a big deal of cloud, tidus, and terra being on the side of chaos, but terra is the only one who got more than 5 minutes of screen time, and cloud wasnt in the main story at all! not to mention the bullshit with tidus, it's like they went out of their way to keep the possible love interests away from each other, and its just lazy writing

I initially thought it was Aerith and I had no problem with that, because it seemed like a shout-out to the compilation, but now it just doesn't fit the story of Dissidia. Because Aerith isn't even there (she's optional, a lot of people probably didn't even buy her [like me]).

Canonically, it's safe to assume that Cloud was talking about meeting Tifa. You know, if you played Duodecim, this would be obvious. :B

@TheMrkingofbosna None of the Warriors of Cosmos and few Warriors of Chaos retain their memories when the cycle of war restarts itself again. The only ones who remember are those who are trying to end the cycle completely or those who have transcended their humanity like state tho Sephiroth supposedly took his own life to transcend from the cycle and lost his memories that way. The other fighters who are just recruited to fight never remember the previous battles because there's no need to.

The war has been going on for eternity; so whenever the characters are called back to fight, they lose the memories of all the previous times they fought (except for villains like Sephiroth, who apparently kills himself or something).

I surprised that many people said Tifa is ooc.

In FF7 original, Tifa is kind, caring and always support people around her but she is too shy to express her feeling to Cloud. In DFF012 she is amnesia so I don't see why she has any reason to shy when she talked to Cloud because she can't remember that she loves him.

And Tifa is not even OOC. :| People forget that she's always been this optimistic, so to be nice with a stranger who *just* saved her-- It's pretty in character to me. I will agree that the game is obvs not as good as I'd hoped it would be, though.
