i raced my 2005 honda cbr 600 rr vs my friend's 2008 gsx-r 600 all the time and he can't keep up. the fact of the matter is honda makes the best 600cc bike, but i do agree after 600cc suzuki all the way. plus his bike is stock and i got akrapovic full exhaust and power commander 3. his bike is newer and lighter though.

You are all wrong, kawasaki have been the no 1 hitters right from the KH250 triple to gthe ZZR1400, legends such as the zzr1100, GPZ1100 before that which i have, and I took apart a 900 fireblade through the buxton bends on it although i think that was down to my extensive knowledge of the road. honda makes the best all round sports bikes? are you joking? the gsxr has always been the best road going sports bike, they always tuned the gsxr with plenty of mid range grunt(what actually matters for road riding), also the riding position is more relaxed than its rivals, i got a 07 gsxr600 and its not far from perfect for the road. the only thing honda has is build quality and a reluctance to rust. also you'll never find a better noise than the gsxr induction noise.
