I did the same thing to my nano when it died, except i used a 5 rounds of #6 bird shot to send it to iPod Heaven. My broken cell phone was quickly dispatched the same way. Later I set the intact aluminum case and shot it with a .22LR @ ~120 yards. Punched a nice little hole in the case :D

and i have shot a few rabbits with it. no where to lie, with the V-max i shot the one in the neck and saw its head fly about three feet. these guns are very devastating

i had bought a savage 17 from Cabela's as a package deal. i hated the scope that was on it and it didnt hit worth shit, so i went and bought a bsa sweet 17 scope. well i went back to the range and sighted it in at 50 first and i had a 4shot group that all were in 2 holes. and 100 yards it shot great as well. i had several 3 shot groups that a dime would cover easily. i also switched from hornady v-max to hornady XTP 20gr.

this isnt a .22 nimrod it is a .17hmr which is smaller but if you ask me a better caliber anyway

r u serious an average airpistol is 2-6 ft/lbs the 17 hmr is over 200 ft/lbs ! and it dont matta bout penetration its the energy that counts and how much it is expelled in the target !

A 17hmr fragments on impact you fucking retard. It's not built for penetration. Balistically it's the best rimfire round.

Furthermore, your faggy little air pistol probably has a velocity of 300-400fps... a 17hmr has a velocity of about 2500

My friend had an old ipod and we shot it with a .17HMR tnt hollow; the ipod blew into several hundred tiny specs. V-max tips are for going through flesh not metal.

17HMR will dorp a yote in its tracks easy anywhere out to 150 maybe 200yds(unless u hit it in the ass) i know it will take down coyotes cause my friend and i shoot deer with them but if you want even more range get a 22-250rem. then(if you have a good enough scope)you'll have range out to almost 400yds.

u can do anything anywhere. nothing is elegal if u dont get caught. and no we dont shoot them in the head weve had a few gut shots but most of them were in the neck. weve even got a few with a 22.rem(all of those we shot in the ass). and plz dont be one of those retards who gets into an arguement with me, we shoot them because they are WAY over populated here.

i aint gunna argue, and i aint gunna nark. nor am i going to shoot deer with that, for thats just me. i usually have bad luck and would get a bad shot or get caught. anyways, some things just need to be done. like a change of government (we NEED to get obama out). it even says in the constituion (or somewhere?) that sometimes a change of power is needed. and this is one of those cases. the harvest rate was way below this season, so we need to even it out again. and get it under control

@rudydanielhernandez Coyote would be no problem, we did a lot of one shot kill on porcupine in MN, and trust me these rifles are devastating for using such small calibers. (Huge porcupines)

@rudydanielhernandez a .22 magnum has more killing power and is better suited to coyote. It wont reach out nearly as far though. If youre going to shoot further than 120 yards, the .17 HMR will let you take head shots. If you are a good shooter, you cant go wrong with that.

@Spitfirerulzyou Most HMR rounds are designed to explode on contact and not penetrate. Most .22 LR rounds will go through an ipod without much resistance or expansion.

Heavy barrel's keep cooler and don't heat up as much and as fast which retains accuracy. My .17 is very accurate with Hornady ammo but not so much with some others.
