In my opinion the fact that the 7D has less magnification options is a advantage. Simply because when you are magnifying the view you certanly want to do accurate focus, so there's absolutely no point in doing small magnifications, it only gets in your way when all you need is a great magnification.
Of course it's my opinion, I would love to know the opinion of those who think that small magnification steps are necessary.
Can you use the meter when looking through the viewfinder and changing the app or shutter to see any changes in the pic before taking it or do you half to take a pic then look to see each change on the d7000. I like the 7d in that you can see the change before taking a pic and the meter is a big larger than the d7000. The 7d is starting to look better to me then the d7000.
@rebeltrooperhalla16 On the 7D, the meter in Live View has a timeout period just like the tranditional metering sensors/display, and tapping the shutter button will bring the meter back both on the Live View display and on the top LCD. The D7000 has no meter display in Live View; it's only available in the viewfinder, which is blacked-out while Live View is active.

There is a quick way to set image quality you hold down the button that says QUAL(quality) then scroll the same way as the ISO

Not really objectively, this done by an Nikon fan, I'm not saying that the 7d is better.

Does the light meter pop up when you tap the shutter button on the LCD screen?

@testcams When you press the WB button on D7000 apears something on the right side of screen that seems a metering, am I wrong?
