  • this is really an interesting product. using facial movements to play the game is crazy

  • not quite sure i understand...

  • @HeinrichDM13

It's basically a device with a bunch of sensors that are attached to your head. If you think of something the sensors register the pattern of which regions of your brain are active and which aren't, and if you think of the same thing again it can be used to execute an action. At leasts thats how I understood it. It's a good attempt, but not quite ready to be really used yet. Just like Kinect.

  • very cool! Now i wont mind being a quadriplegic! Nice editing to GZ.

  • is the mario galaxy theme in the background?

  • The idea for the arrows and to use mind control in humanoid robotics (Honda did copy my idea for Asimo) , or to move the cursor of the mouse in the computer were mine... now watch this... if you use the squared screen with augmented reality in your cell phone or eye glasses... then you will be able to do more... I have even more ideas to implement... but this is for later... you can watch my website with the most complete Humanoid Robot list in the World in the mean time...

  • i bought one, waiting for it to be shipped... ^_^

  • @neosmith80 Do you have it now? Does it work for steam games?

  • thats not the point @mehdiglz

moveing around. and useing actions dose two very important things in this type of gameplay. one it helps imerse your self in the game makes u feel your rly doing it. (which you are) and the second. is when yu move around. for example moveing your hand up slowing while lifting a rck. what happens is you unconciously "expect" something to happen rather then JUST useing your mind therefor makeing the task more simple.

  • interesting, nice vid

  • I think nvidia needs to team up with emotiv to make sensing more realtime.

  • It's amazing and it's out now for xmas. Check the website emotiv . com

  • I think there should be an application and licensing process for people to post comments on the internet. milkygear, you're a fucking idiot. Do a little research before you open you virtual mouth. This device can read brainwaves, brain to muscle electrical impulses, emotions(which are just brainwaves but whatever), and then finally yes...it is equipped with a motion sensor. But the motion sensor is like the fry at the bottom of the bag compared to the rest of its amazing features.

  • this isn't controlling stuff with your mind, its just motion sensor you wear on your head.

Anyone who pays money for this is completely retarded.

  • no its definetly controlling with your mind

  • you're a fucken retard

  • @milkygear it doesnt sense motion it senses your brain signals to the rest of your body, it also analyzes your brain waves when you think about doing something (like walking forward) and then when you think about doing that again it walks forward for you.

  • must be fun too play counter skrike on that way

  • o my gooood

  • I garauntee that Nintendo will have this technology in their nest generation game consoles.

  • Well, it's already on pc, because FPS are pretty much the natural test for this (from what I could see, driving games didn't go too well so far :) ). I could so picture a starwars game with this device ^_^.

  • I'm pretty sure you could use this in FPS games to switch weapons with your mind, or to activate abilities and equipment etc, or in MMORPGs to activate skills, or even more helpful, I'd imagine, use it in RTS to use shortcut commands with just your thoughts. This might very well be the final step of gaming input, or any sort of human to machine input. if not then it's an early version of it

  • the perfect genre for this type of input is definitely MMORPGS

if youve played any realtime fast paced mmo like WoW in pvp battles or during hard boss fights you'd kno what im getting at. so many different skills to cast, wit this technology the transition from your mind to your avatars will be seemless. the gaming experience taken to a new level. all you must do to cast is think? imagine how incredibly proffecient players will get. and in turn how incredibly challening the game will become!!

  • instead of switching through action bars with clumsy fingers to get off commands and combos you can easily time them and cast with absolutely no break in concentration.

while getting to vantage points i.e. out of line of site, around the corner etc. you can plan out your next move and instantly cast after the CD is down. the half second CD's will seem like ages compared to how quick your reaction time will be to everything happening around you IN GAME... the improvement to gameplay.. phenominal.

  • uggrgh... rughgghh.... uhhhgg... yeaaahhh baby... thats it....

    /nerdgasm

  • I'll guess you have to wait like 2 more years for that to be possible. The sensors still needs you to perform the actions in real life, for example on the demo, he raises or pushes his hand. Not just I think of pushing.

Anyway, looks really great, I'll probably get it after i'm guaranteed I wont get cancer or have a negative side effect by playing it

  • you have much to learn padawan... they use ther hands as a mental reference but they are not required... i watched this wierd jap do a demo and they didnt use ther hands just thought and it r did happen

  • The I guess it depends on the player's mind. Cool

  • @MehdiGlz actually I think it's better if you have to move ur body...I like to move my fists to punch in a game rather than just sit there and think about punching

  • the popint of this "game", cuz honestly the game (not the device) looks crappy, is to read your brainwaves or something like that. If u want to move wait til 360's new camera, w/e is gonna be called (it'd be stupid to call it project w/e (forgot it's name xD))

  • @lamarjlp914 I couldn't agree more.

  • like the WHAT? .. i didnt get it..

  • imagine how much fun star wars fans could have with this :P

  • lol

  • This is a really cool device. I wouldn't mind paying for one if games starting to actually implement it.

  • hmm, w8 a minute, since it can read emotions, what if you and your friend were talking in some sort of chat room with the emotiv(if they somehow made one) and you had private feelings when your friend sed something??lol

  • I was reading about that on their website. You can use their software called EmoKey to integrate the headset with any program on your computer. Plus, they have a software for the internet called Emortal. One of the features on the program gives you a full 3D avatar that allows anyone to fully express yourself emotionally while in their chatroom. This is something that I'm buying, for sure.

  • what is the website

  • Yeah, he might find out you are a TOTAL homo! wouldn't that be weird? But seriously this thing looks like it could do some cool stuff in the future

  • it needs to be calibrated to your thoughts, so you just wouldnt calibrate that part

  • lol, i bet theyre gonna make something like the wiifit fer this when it comes out :)

  • ale pojebana gierka omg

  • sweet

  • Nice video and music choice. My only complaint is that the guys voice sounds alittle low.
