We started watching this in French class yesterday I got hooked. I couldn't wait to see it again today but we had a sub who told us the DVD broke!!!! NOW I'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!
@Sukaisutaa18 You can watch it online, just google 1channel it's a website with all the movies and tv shows imagianble. Then just put a little romance into the website search engien and you will get lots of links to watch the movie.Enjoy! If it doesn't work send me a message and I'll send tyou the direct link, youtube won't let me post the link here. Otherwise you can order it from amazon. Good luck!
I fell sincerely and completely in love with her when I saw this film at the Millwald Theater in Wytheville, VA.......now it is almost 35 years later, and it's not 'creepy' to swoon and moon over her. I LOVE YOU, DIANE. I always have and I always will; cannot help it and don't want to....
I'm honestly obsessed with this movie! I can't even count the amount of times I've seen this! I can't believe most of my generation doesn't know about it.
OMG Diane Lane... i dont think i was around when this movie came out, but i had to wait till they mention the names... She's a cute girl... and now a very beautiful woman..
the fucking French and Italians claim to be so romantic and all.....myths, legends fucking bull shit.... waste of time shooting movies in france and italy..the way this dude says "BINGO" leaves me confused, idk if I wana laugh or punch him in the face or cut his stupid head off
I love this movie!!!! I worship it!!!!! And guess what? I'm only 11 and turning 12. I watched this everytime I could when I was little. As in 5, 6, 7 but then it stopped. I couldn't finf it on TV so i ordered it on netflix!!!! CAN'T WAIT TILL TOMMORROW!!!!
I watched this again last night. I hadn't seen it in years and it is such a wonderful overlooked gem. The young boys name is Thelonius Bernard and he and Diane Lane were brilliant. The original score won an Oscar for composer Georges Delarue. If you haven't seen this film SEE IT. It's a forgotten classic. I was so thrilled when I recieved it for Xmas!
Diane Lane looks so different in this movie than she looked in movies that she made only a few years later like "The Outsiders" and "Streets of Fire." She obviously grew up but it's almost like watching two different people.
I SO LOVE this movie!!!! One of my first VHS movies and I paid almost $100 at the time. I remember our VHS machine was huge and cost about $800. ha ha WOW!!
@bkmolady I have one of those old VCRs, it doesn't work anymore, but I can't bring myself to throw it out. I found it at my grandparents house and they said I could have it. At that time it still worked, not anymore.
I was 15 when I saw the movie for the first time. I saw it again the same day. My enthusiasm to see this movie would never ebb even if I see it a thousand times
Oh, this was one of my favorite "over and over" movies. I was about 11 and vcrs were new and large and loaded from the top. ::: sigh::: It takes me back.
I saw this when I was about 12,and it really made feel good, great story but sad at the end.The music just made it perfect as well, wish I knew where it was from?
Roger Ebert only gave this movie ** stars. On his website right above his review there's an area where the public can rate the film. They gave it ***1/2 stars.
I wish I had found a girl like Lauren when I was a tween.
I know! don't they look freakishly similar!? I grew up loving this film but that little boy never made anymore films... one day I saw Shia and was completely confused. lol.
I'm happy Shia continues to make movies... though I'm sure Thelonious is happy being a dentist. :-) This is still one of my favorite movies.
I had the soundtrack for years until someone broke into my house and took my record collection that I had since I was 14. Thanks for posting this to hear the music again.
Yes, I just looked the movie up at my local library, and it's based on the novel: E=mc2, mon amour / by Patrick Cauvin. My library doesn't have an English translation of the book though.
Lol this movie is 18 years older than me
