Suck it up and get over it, or don't renew your membership and keep listening to your kids cry about how they want to go to the zoo. Personally I love the change. The parking lot is bigger and I intend to keep renewing.
I live in the neighborhood. Which part scares you? The part that it's next to the Veterans Hospital? Or the Children's Hospital? or the University Hospital? Or Shriners? Or the Ronald McDonald House? The old lot is actually a lot closer to the "dangerous" side of the neighborhood than the new lot is. If everyone comes at the SAME TIME then of course you're going to have to wait a little longer than expected. People don't like change.
The New Entrance is crappy. I arrived at the zoo waiting 30 minutes to get into the parking lot only to find out that it was full and they were redirecting people to the old lot. The neighborhood is dangerous and you when going over the bridge and walking through the parking lot there is a chance you will hear or see some very inappropriate things. I have been a member of this zoo for 13+ years and can tell you this is the worse money they have spent as of yet.

Is the scooter rental fee still non-refundable. I haven't been back since I was made PAINFULLY aware of that.
