Hey Trevor, another great video. I was wondering where I can go to do the Bushcraft classes. That is something I would be interested in and get my kids involved in too. Thanks.
@mgibby45 Hey Mike, you can go to bushcraftusa and sign up there for free. It's a great forum with a lot of great folks. Hardly any drama like on a lot of other sites. The Bushclasses are part of the forum found in the BushclassUSA sub forum of that site. Hope to see you over there.
The soup mix that you carry with you what other kinds of things do you put in there besides beans?? I went to the store to put together something similar but I wasn't sure what to get. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
@paracordjunky I will add in beef jerky, or sometimes just beef bouillon cubes. I forgot to add some that time. If I get a wild game kill, I will add that in. Even the little flavor packets out of Ramen noodles works good too.
@helmutdiggy To be honest, that is my dad's camera and I'm not very familiar with them. I know we played with that one for quite a bit to get it working the way we wanted. Sorry I couldn't be more help on that
Hey Gwynn, that was a nice video! Really good that you can enjoy the time with your Father! Do you guys own that land your on or is it public? Enjoy your videos keep them coming.
You might find the "Professional Guide's Manual" by George Leonard Herter, copyright 1971 published in Waseca, Minn. by Herter's Inc. useful in your bush craft and hunting endeavours. It definitely is old school, but then again, they lived this stuff every day and learned what worked. I didn't notice that you had a piece of closed cell foam with you for sitting and kneeling - it's definitely a useful itm in the winter. If you put it in your pack against your back, it'll even keep you warmer.
Nice video, thanks for taking us along and sharing. Looked like a good day out there. Have a good one and you have a great Holidays. If you are talking to Dad tell him I said to do the same. Take care.
Gwynn: Excellent video. I had forgotten all about Jas. Townsend & Sons until you said something. Quick question: Where did you get the tea bag holder for steeping? Thanks.
Another nice video. Found that JATownsend site by doing a hikers spice tin search. Great 18th century living videos, too. Doesn't the cup have any markings on it for measurement? Several of that style do.
@kantill We were hoping for more, but it's been a slow winter. I wish I could be up there and try this. Thanks for watching buddy. Hope you guys had a good holiday.
when it snows i shud make myself snowshoes, haven't done that yet. Simple snowshoes seems like a good bushcraft project for those long nights by the fire :p
Have u ever been up to the hot springs off Lolo pass in central Idaho ? They have some great snowshoe trails . We went up to Stanley hotsprings a few years back it was epic !
@BeigarthTV I found them very helpful. In some parts, the snow would have been about shin deep, and the snowshoes kept us up on top. I would recommend them for anyone trying to get out in snow deeper than 6 inches. Thanks for watching
Great video

@lawson863 It's 160 acres of private land that is surrounded on 3 sides of national forest, so we have literally thousands of acres to play on
