@MrLuisLIF Junjun was not an Egg; she was recruited directly from China. I don't know who the girl at 1:00 is since I don't follow the Eggs, but she's not Junjun.
@cutiesnsd I believe you are getting her confused with LinLin, who used to be an egg before she went to Morning Musume. She is also from China, like JunJun. Both are now members of Morning Musume.
Wait~ I was thinkning of a different performance that I watched just before this one. Gomen ne. I believe they are here, they just didn'tget any time during this song. I think Yui is hidden behind Sayumi at 2:34
as was probably mentioned, the Hello no theme was the original opening to hello morning when it showed all the groups, and morning musume just headlined
And, I believe, this song is the opening song for H!P concerts. H!P has BeeryZ, Cute, Vuden, and a mixing of others. The music is simple and clear, the dancing is great, and they dress in costumes that are great. Their age seems to run from 11 to 18. The cutest song and routine I've found is AKB48's "AKB48-ほねほねワルツ" which, I understand, was number 1 in Japan. It's a childrens song that strikes me as wonderful in its simplicity. I'm even learning to sing it in Japanese.
I'm an American too, and what I've been able to glean from my months of exploring YouTube, this is a Japanese experience that has been going on for at least the last 10 years. Young girl singing groups mobbed by older male called, I believe it is "Atoku" or fans. H!P is Hello! Project is one of the main groups, made up of smaller teams of girls that sing and dance. AKB48 is another simular to H!P. Their music is simple and basic as American music used to be in the 60's & 70's. Enjoy!
Thanks! So it's like they are all little "Hannah Montanas"! Are they all popular to the little girls in Japan? With promotions like dolls, and other girly girl gear? Kind of like the Spice Girls were to my daughter back when she was younger and they first hit the music scene. Anyway, this Hello thing is cool!
Yes! Though the men usually have jobs so they have the money to spend on attending the concerts. But the girls are into them as well, though they get overshadowed by the men more often than not. What I find is interesting is that this reminds me of the English music scene invasion in the early '60s and the way the girls went wild for the mostly male groups then. Try "AKB48 featurette from Japanorama" on YouTube. It is an English speaking short on the whole concept. Enjoy exploring YouTube.
For what it's worth, you don't have to learn about them only on YouTube. Hello! Project has several English-language fan sites, and they're thoroughly documented by a couple different wikis. Just google...
Can anyone please explain what the audience is doing with the glow sticks? Is it something special or something that is normal at these kind of concerts?
Its normal for Japanese concerts. Bands usually have on official color so you can buy merchandise (t-shirts, glowsticks, balloons, etc.) to show support at concerts.
But Hello! Project is different because instead of the whole group having one, each individual girl has her own color. Also, Morning Musume and C-ute members are the only ones who've officially announced which color is theirs, everyone else was decided by the fans (they usually just pick the girls favorite color).
Seeing as they don't have cords coming out of their head sets, the eggs here probably aren't singing live in this one. But I'm sure they have the potential to do so cuz when I read Maeda Yuka(a member of egg)'s blog I realized she had written that she'll have to practice more to be able to sing and dance at the same time without being too breathy(she's going to be singing abe natsumi's "Koi no telephone goal") at the new comer concert that's coming up.
The newest head sets are all in one, and fit easily on the head and have no need for external battery pack or transmitter. The Japanese are way ahead of America in this field. Where do you think Bluetooth idea came from? And it uis my understanding that although the music is canned, they are really singing their songs live. But I too wonder how they can sing and dance so energetically without getting so tired. It is a wonder someone doesn't faint over the energy exhausted.
Months of practice I guess. Much me training Shooto in Nagoya were I took ons of stamina training to not get tired during a match. Only for these girls, singing and dancing!
Just to clear things up for some ppl, the Hello Project Egg audition was aimed at getting new members into Hello Project so that they can be trained(by doing back dancing and so forth) up to a level where they can someday form new groups or join a exsistent H!P group. That's how The Possible were formed. And plus, that's how Kanna Arihara got into C-ute and Yu Okada into Byuden. The audition was certainly not held to gather back dancers.
Sort of. Many of the Eggs are there simply to get performance training (i.e. singing, dancing, stage presence), without any specific intent to join a group. There's a whole program that Hello! Project runs behind the scenes.
Next time they come to the states (possible Hawaii again) try and catch with the audition. idk if you have to speak Japanese real good or not though. Also, if your a dedicated student, my advice, DONT AUDTITION! Look what happened to Maiha.
I have to agree that some of them they did. But they have headset mics, so we don't know if it's really live or not. (I found that they sung everything perfectly, which I'm not saying that they can't, but it's a little unlikely, so they might have been syncing, but maybe not. I think some were live and some were syncing, like the really young ones.)
I know they should do something with hello! eggs I mean tsunku has to many auditions he needs to give the eggs a chance gosh atleast build the groups with them gosh..T_T!! poor eggies!!!
Teh audition was to get into the hello! project UFA run training classes, learning to dance etc. and basically to belong to an agency which can get you onstage etc. eg one of the eggs, Kanon, has been in a few stage plays/musicals.
I don't know why you're laughing, cuz you were wrong
No, I'm not, as you just repeated what I said in different words. And yes, some of them have been in musicals, plays, and doramas because they're not tied down to just H!P dancing. And if you plan to critize me again, learn some spelling and grammar.
