One thing about Jessica Pare is that she was 18 when they made the movie, she's younger than Piper but she is still very pretty. I still feel bad about what happened to Paulie and I still wish Tori did not leave her and they would still be together. They make a GREAT couple, but they broke up and that's what happened.

Jessica Pare did a good job acting in this movie, despite playing Tori who leaves Paulie just because of what other people think and making Paulie jump from the roof. Jessica is very talented and it's too bad no one knows who she is and that's why I like her, she's my favorite. The other two actresses were also great, especially Piper Perabo.

The contrast between Paulie and Tori is outstanding. Tori is too afraid to face the world WITH Paulie, and Paulie is too afraid to face the world WITHOUT Tori.

Not a bad movie at all. Piper Perabo's Paulie was heart-wrenching in her growing isolation. But finale was badly damaged by the director's decision to have Paulie's classmates follow the flight of the bird as though it were Paulie's spirit now liberated. Realistically they would ignore the damned bird & look instead to where their classmate & friend has just landed after flinging herself from the rooftop.

This movie is just... I don't know... It's the only movie in which I cry everytime that I watch it :'( I hate Tory! She's the kind of person who's interested in what others say and not in her own happiness. She broke Paulie's heart even if she knew that Paulie was alone in this world, no family, no parents... It's just tragic! And to think that these kind of stories are real. People mentality makes people suffer and come even at a suicide. I HATE PEOPLE!

This movie is teaching us a lesson. A very important lesson amazingly retold. We can all understand it but the question remains...could we ever live like this ? Sometimes, our feelings decide about our life and our death, and the conscious doesn't play the role here.

Paulie is a tragic heroine who let her feelings conquer her. So here and now I dare to say "Fare the well my dear. Cry no more."

This movie is absolutely incredible in terms of the complexity yet simplicity of the relationships and the suicide scene is beautiful because of the flight of the bird. It has a lot of incredible depth to it. Looovveeee itt.

Actually Troi never moved on. She was just trying to be straight for his family's sake. I think if she had truly found out she was not gay and really didn't have feelings for Paulie then Paulie wouldn't have gone mad. But it's the fact that Paulie knew Tori loved her but just wouldn't admit it. That's what pushed her over the edge. I honestly can't blame her for what she did.

Not that I'm saying suicide is okay or anything... XD I just am stating that Troi really hadn't moved on.

She loved Tori more than anything in the world and Tori loved her but wouldn't admit it because he family is high standing in society and she didn't want to dishonour them.

I found Tori's character to be extremely selfish and a flat out coward. She claimed throughout the movie that she had almost everything to lose if she continued the relationship with Paulie but she somehow forgot that Paulie only had her, even though she was really close to her and loved her. Clearly the person who had the most to lose here was Paulie as she lost everything that meant anything to her.

@darkflame684 first of all, I wrote this 2 years ago you can chill out. My perspective on the entire lgbt community and their struggles have changed since then. Although I do still believe it could've been handled better on Tori's half and that although she had a fear of her family finding out she still didn't have to push Paulie out of her life entirely but instead, could've worked things out like a mature adult or at least could have tried. Granted that if happened there wouldnt be a movie.

You are right, in movie reviews it says falcoln or hawk, but it really is a Golden Eagle which are prevalent in Canada. Golden Eagles live in tall trees, house/barn tops and telephone poles situated at the edge of open fields and eat mostly mice, rabbits squirrels and gophers. I have a nesting pair in a tall pine on my property. We also have a lot of Bald Eagles, but Bald Eagle eat fish and nest in tall pines near water. Finding an Eagle feather is thought to be extremely good luck.
