  • Hard to believe this is 1939. I was only born in 1952 and I remember it just like this. Such a shame that the "powers that be" didn't believe in New Brighton sufficiently to restore the fun to the town. I have to admit to moving away from the area when I realised what was happening to it - the demolition of the baths finished me, and NB, off.

  • i wasnt born till '48 but i remember all of this so well.the good old days gone forever,the simple pleasures of life.i still live in Wallasey,what changes are being made,sadly not all are for the better.lost most of the shops and cafes,restaurants now ,just flats houses and railings.new front now being built hope this improves the town.

  • i go new brighton often , me a wife and two kids, love it , walk along the prom ,kids park , a pint in the magazine, stroll back ,rock pools , penny arcades ,fish and chips
