i think this was back when pyro and scout did not have airblast/sandman so there was literally no way to stop a pair of chain-ubering medics unless a demoman managed to blow them away from each other.

Or a Demoman using stickies or pipebombs to keep them out of melee range. Or a sniper picking one of them off between ubers. Or a soldier knocking them away with rockets.

This only happens on servers/teams with terrible people playing. It was easy to counter before Sandman and airblast, it's just easier now.
