Apologies, thanks for pointing it out. I assure you I can spell 'Michael', just must've been rather tired when I uploaded this. Never noticed it before... Yes I know it's been over 2 years but shh!
Hugh just had "ordinary" depression, he got over it. Stephen has bipolar disorder, which is lifelong and very tough to deal with. He hit a low point in 1995 but he's been more or less OK since. Being amazingly smart and talented often goes hand in hand with depression anyway - a lively, imaginative brain is more vulnerable to the "unreal" feelings. John Cleese, Spike Milligan, Tony Hancock and Peter Sellers all suffered with it as well.
actually, Huhg Laurie still has severe clinical depression. (Why am I replying to a comment that's a year old? And why is a comment a year old on the 2nd page? Come on people! Watch this! They're hilarious!)
Agree, we should make this sketch rule the world - only joking. Quite obvious though that it was a joke. When a sketch can rule the world, then I don't know what I've eaten. Actually I'm not sure what I've eaten now, this comment turned out pretty strange.
So, serious. It would be more people commenting on this, because I think is pure funny entertaining. Never get tired of Fry and Laurie, with their wit and intelligence.
People can still see that people have replied to comments they made a while ago. I love being able to see what people have thought of my comments now. Good on YouTube for that.
I'm not arguing that more people shouldn't watch this sketch though. They should. RIGHT NOW.
Yes, all the ladies swooning over him currently are aware that he's gay. Doesn't make him one jot less delicious though. I agree with the audience member: "WOOOO!"
It is so wierd to watch Hugh on House. Funny thing is I never watch an episode of House until a few weeks ago. I was so shocked he could do an American accent as flawlessly as he does! He really is talented!
It's very strange... this is the first time I've ever found a man to be sexier with an American accent than with his original British accent. I'm a sucker for a nice English-ish accent but there's something about him in House... *dreamy far off look and sigh* :-)
(also: not only does he do the American accent so amazingly BUT he has to pronounce all of those complicated medical terms which I can barely pronounce properly myself without trying it in another accent!)
i agree, his eyes are to die for! its weird comming from me cause i like brown eyes better, but his are just... cant even find a word to describe it... well they keep me in awe!
They're both gorgeous.Proof that a winning personality is far sexier than plastic movie star looks. As for the depresion thing,as a comedic writer myself who has suffered serious depression, for some reason it goes with the territory. Both Bill Oddie & John Cleese have suffered from it also.Must be related to a particular outlook funny people have. One for a psych thesis, maybe?
amazing. . . we both love stephen fry. he and hugh are my heroes. shocking that both of them suffered from depression. i guess being amazingly smart and talented isnt everything. well, i hope i get to chat with you again . . . i still feel bad about my little post earlier. thanks for being understanding! talk to you soon maybe?

OMFG. I'd be game. Imagine the look on Stephen's face. Quick, let's organize! :D

Ironically, Stephen now looks more like eight-year-old Michael Jackson than Jackson does himself.

inertia666... at least spell the name 'Michael' right. I hate it when people write me cards and spell it Micheal. Anywhoo, rant over!

Michael looks kinda weird. It's as though he transformed into a Hilarious British Comedian.
He must have an amazing make-up artist.

bipolar disorder can go into remission, just like depression. it isn't all doom and gloom, luckily ^_^

I know exactly what you mean. Not only the accent through me off, but I couldn't get over how un-Laurie like the character of Dr. House was.
I just NOW getting into the show. I'm so behind. :/
