You have asked a very interesting question. I have never really thought about it. For as long as I know we have never put anything more on lamb other than garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper and sometimes at a stretch, mint sauce. We like the taste of lamb not the seasoning. Funny I have never thought of it as that gamey. BBQ lamb is great with a bit of lemon and olive oil.
