I know I sound long winded but while I'm on the subject, I think that Mr. Byrne is a "younger" Elizabeth Taylor of men. He is a great actor but so was Gene Hackman and a lot like him but they weren't so handsome as he. It's always been a point of wonder to me why this man has been in the background for so many years. Some of us started to drool over him in the eighties but he was held back in some creepy films. Maybe it's his own bad choices but he's center stage now and that's a GOOD thing.

What is it that makes one man stand out above the rest? I tried to figure that one out last night while watching Miller's Crossing. This morning I find this nice video and all of it's closeups of Mr. Byrne and it makes me again wonder why? It's not his three times broken nose that does it for me. His hair is lovely and he has nice skin so maybe that's it. Could it be the eyes, the so called windows to the soul? His smile lights up a room. Whatever it is, even age can't stop it. What a man!
