well, remember the c5, laughed off because it was dangerous on the british road, the goverments dont want things like this on the road and you wont be able to buy one cheap either.
If u had one of these riding around, within 6 months some asshole will smash into it and say i never saw it.
So far, despite several collisions, including at least one in which a car rear-ended a velomobile at highway speeds, the riders have all come out okay. The fiberglass bodies have absorbed most of the impact. They are substantially safer than bicycles in collisions.
Riding one of these on a bike trail with no motor vehicles would be great, but on a street with traffic make sure you have extra health insurance for when you get hit.
@yourpsychic LOL, you couldn't be more wrong. Not only are they far safer than normal upright bicycles and far less likely to be in a collision, but those that have been in crashes rarely if at all have any injuries to the rider.
I just finished building my own velo bike from a old Redline frame, and assorted junk. Your awesome vid gave me some ideas about making a body for it, thanks!!
