@italokid80 Thanks for the comments. The gaussian blur is something I was adding to the surface and edge masks, good idea adding it to the luminosity masks too.
I don't understand your second point though. Could you clarify "in ACDSee photo-soft ALREADY IS the "light equalizer" ?

1)-need to add some gaussian blur (as transition buffer) to each luminosity mask. Without, monstruous results.
2)-in ACDSee photo-soft ALREADY IS the "light equalizer" (as advanced curve) on adjustement tools --- the "superior" Photoshop still waiting, how-many decades, dear people?
Wow. What an amazingly informative and easy to follow tutorial. Finally something good on youtube other than all of the beginner tutorials on how to change someone's hair color. Thanks so much for the video and I'll definitely be using this technique in some of my work going forward.
