IMHO SOUNDING BETTER than putting your finger up your arse while skratching or whatever is better than just looking "so godamn fr35h" . So Craze KICKS ASS OK?
yeh thats a quality routine i seen him do it nuff times, those are stanton final sratch plates hes using as well, u hook em to ur laptop and u can scratch with any mp3 on ur com...and craze just goes to show they're as good as viynl blaaap!
Yeah i dont like body tricks either but i wouldnt go as far as to say that its TOY. Lets not get carried away, this is craze were talking about, when your that good its okay to bust a few body tricks here and there. just dont rely on that shit to win competitions.
Skills are not everything. Musicality is way more important. So winning skill competitions doesnt mean he is the best. Ah, and marketing is too important on itfs and dmcs for me to judge them as fair competitions.
@ Monado: You make an interesting point. If you're so hot, let's see some of your shit. Craze looks to me like he's got some legit skills. Time to step up.
ive heard this routine too many times. and that shit when he spins around with that crazy aahhh scratch. that shit is on the record.. hes not doin any of that. to me that is TOY.
show us your video then tough guy. where were you when he took three back to back dmc titles???? man, you should have stepped up. put sorry ol' dj craze in his place. something tells me you didn't even have decks.
I laugh at all you doodz that ride jocks. i've been dj'ing since 95'. I been in rock bands, hip hop groups and performed solo manytimes.. ROXY on Holloween - Knitting Factory - Coconut Teaser - and a shit load of clubs you never heard of... I've seen craze live. I wasnt impressed. ever heard of "fakin the funk" if your so dope, why you gotta bullshit the crowd (jockers) into thinking your doing something your not? If you knew anything about it, you'd say hes toy too...
so erm why has he been dmc world scratch chamption three times, got his own signiture mixer and you've got erm... jack shits what u've got. why u got to hate. if u where that good you'd recognise and respect his talent cus u wud know how much time effort and skill he's frontin. its real easy to post a comment slating to pump up ur own ego.
are you a turntablist? or just a fan? if you knew what was what - what takes skill and what i can teach your twelve year old sister in a week... you might be able to discern talent from hype. craze is a character... and you all bought in...
Anyone that knows anything about the turntablism knows those are the routines that he used to win 3 world championships. He's w/o a doubt the best that ever did it,not to mention the new styles he introduced during his career..
The best that ever did it??? Nah...No!!! He's good, but I know for a fact ANY dj from the 90's and on ALL were inspired by the Orignal Rocksteady Dj's "dreamteam" DJ Apollo, Dj Mix Master Mike and Q-bert! A.K.A. Invisable Skratch Piklz. They are the originators of the word turntableism. Don't get me wrong, I like Craze and think he's dope, but even he knows.
turntablism has it's roots from a much broader area not just from the invisible scratch piklz. but yeah they contributed mountain of heaps into this artforms esp qbert.
well the only part of this routine you could recreate is the part in the beginning when he puts the needle down, so unless you've got some footage of yourself i haven't seen.....
IMHO SOUNDING BETTER than putting your finger up your arse while skratching or whatever is better than just looking "so godamn fr35h" . So Craze KICKS ASS OK?

His 1998 U.S. DMC Final routine is probably still the greatest 6-minute solo routine of all-time.

Hartformer. This reply is rather late.
This guy is the only DJ to win the World DMC 3 times, with the exception of q-bert and his team.
Altogether he's won 6 World titles.
bt10arjen19robben 5 years ago
As i said, too much marketing involved... in those competitions most of the times is more important your name than your skills.
Hartformer 5 years ago
Yeah i understand. But skill wise, this guy is tops!
