How is Protestantism the primary branch? If you combined all the Protestants on thw world they would even equal half of the number of Catholic members. And you said you knew your stuff. Do you even know what the word protestant means? It mean one who "protests" that was the root of their origin. To protest againt the Church.
Dont count the Catholics? That was the only existing church then...before the reformation. Copernicus and Galileo were persucuted and denied by Christians in his time...much like evolution, DNA, modern medicine, and radiometric dating of today.
