  • 4% of people sleep on their backs. For the other 96% of people this is a VERY poor bed as it does not provide proper support when you lay in another position.

  • The Sleep Number Beds are the most problematic sleep sets you can get. Many things can and do go wrong. I'd recommend an all-foam mattress whether memory or latex. Simmons Beautyrest for best innerspring mattresses.

  • the guy is holding a freaking spine, he has to know what the heck he is talking about just like evolutionists wearing suits on PBS

  • This bed contains a lot of latex foam, to which some people are increasingly allergic. My husband developed huge hives after he began sleeping on a Sleep Number bed and the hives went away after getting rid of the bed. There are toxic materials in this bed that many don't think about.

  • Why don't you tell them how toxic it is? Made from polyurethane foam & petroleum oil. Did you know it takes a 55 gallon drum of petroleum oil to make just one queen size memory foam mattress? Petroleum oil causes cancer, Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons, Polygycols & Polybrominated Diphenyol Ethers. That will surely put you to sleep. In fact you might not wake up either! Now you know why you sleep hot, it's like sleeping in a gas station it stinks!! Sleep number is just as bad, PVC bladders!!

  • what they are forgetting to mention is that most people sleep on there side not on there back + human body weight while awake is lighter when awake, therefore when sleeping becoming heavier. So you will never really be able to adjust to ideal pressure while sleeping

  • thats why we should all use Tempur pedic,no matter what position we sleep in Tempur automatically adjusts.

  • @veysim good one. MOST doctors promote idealogical circumstances but forget the world isn't built ideal and humans have this thing called choice which keeps doc's in business

  • A chiropractr is saying this? How forboding

  • These beds are a rip off. They are glorified camping air beds. Eventually you will find yourself in a hamock like mattress. Its a 2 year warranty and then an 18 year pro rated warranty. It comes in 6 boxes so you are unlikely to send it back. Do you have room for 6 boxes? Did I mention tht the pressure in the bed changes when your body heat interacts with the air chamber. You might start of at 30 but by the time you wake up in pain you wish you had it on 60.

  • All beds have pro rated warranties, as do many things that have a 20 year warranty.

We got the bed and we love it. Putting it together was no problem.

  • I forgot to mention that these beds develop mold because they are a closed air system. Just google mold and sleep number. I hope you don't get sick like others have.

  • I suppose a regular bed doesn't also have problems with mold, fungus, and other little nasties that live off of skin you shed while you sleep, and the sweat you give off.

Sounds like your a Michael Jackson germaphobe. LOL

  • You suppose right, mold grows in the closed air system of the sleep# bed, a major hidden flaw that can kill you if it gets into your body unlike dust mites which the sleep# is not immune to either. Your ad hominem attack only proves you have nothing to say.

  • You've had nothing to say right from the start. Loser!

  • Seriously, you should have you bed examined for mold. Your consistent ad hominem may be a sign that it's infecting your brain.

  • Your attack upon the sleep number bed is stupid. All beds have pro-rated warranties- so to single out the sleep number shows you're just trying to bad mouth it.

As for mold- I checked it out on the internet. Doesn't seem to be a real problem. And the beauty of the sleep number bed is- you can clean it! I opened mine up and sprayed an anti-bacterial spray on the air chambers and let it air out. So there need not be any problem. Now just what bed do you sleep on?

  • I'm glad you had it looked at and that you are ok. I'd keep a tab on it every year just to be safe, you never now with a closed air system or when Michael is coming to visit.

  • Yeah, MJ might drop by at any time.

  • I never trust testimonials by physicians on the payroll. I have heard from customers that these beds are excellent, however.

  • How much are these slackers gettin paid?

  • Get the cheap one (3000) and add foam toppers from Wal-Mart...way cheaper and just as good. All the models use the same bladder. Your getting 'jacked' (big time) for whats on top.
