While this may not be an all-star game I do think they put some time into the sound effects and bgm, as they sound fairly good to me.

However, I think what drags this game down so much is the fact that there doesn't seem to be much variety in game play and the concept of the protagonist doesn't seem to have many redeeming qualities that people can relate to.

Sonic and the Black Knight LOOKS like it could be cool...but I'm not getting my hopes up. Sonic Team could easily screw it up.

If they combine the speed with the elements of a good hack 'n' slash game, it may make for a decent game.

When you think about it the SNES/Genesis era did seem to have a bit more dinosaurs than usual.

I blame Super Mario World. You take Mario, throw him in a world with (some) dinosaurs, give him a dinosaur partner and bam, everyone wants a piece of that cake.

Which means Sonic Team will probably end up making a Sonic the Cave Hog game after Sonic Calibur flops
