Palm Pre Setup and Gestures

Do you need to have internet on your palm pre to set up the profile? I just bought one and I the plan I have isn't a data plan.

the worst part of the pre is that it takes a minute and a half or a minute 45 seconds to turn on.

Sprint does "Everything" plans, so unlimited data is included in any plan you buy.

on o2 in UK the contracts are similar to the iPhone contracts in which they include an 'unlimited data' plan. This will cover internet/email etc.
