I was expecting this to be a great movie due to the great reviews and everything, but I just found that it was a dull, slow and unengaging. I don't understand how people enjoyed it so much. I suppose different people different interests..
This is just another genre to make money. The quirky, white, trying to be lovable, slightly depressed characters that we have seen dozens of times. Doesn't anyone out there get it? How many times are we going to see these types of caucasions on a "road trip" attempting to unravel their dysfunction? When have we ever seen a movie where black or latino characters get into a car and drive across country? God, this is so worn out. There are corporations making millions off of this type of crap.

@pjdavin While I agree that the anglo-centric road movie is pretty trite in this day and age, I have to say that you're way off with your assessment of "Easier with Practice." It's a touching and redeeming film with excellent performances from the entire cast. In addition, the final scene is one of the most touching pieces of cinema I've encountered in a long, long time. Maybe if you watch the movie again, you'll like it more next time.
@pjdavin The reason we rarely see this type of story with minorities is because unfortunately, most minority artists tend to focus their art on racial issues and/or the specific issues of their specific minority community. We'll never see a movie about minorities struggling with general dysfunctions and everyday American life issues until white guilt-obsessed whites stop insisting that the only story minorities have to tell is "what it's like being a minority".

This movie was the bomb! This trailer doesn't give the movie any sort of justice. If you want to see the whole movie for free an in high quality Just google yslides and the site should come up first result. Yslides is where I watched it and didn't have any problems. I would just put the website URL but I don't want youtube to mark my account as spam. LOL
@Yummycherrypie89 Yes, it did! It's on Netflix on Tuesday (both DVD and Instant) and you can buy the DVD on Amazon already, as well as watch it on iTunes or On Demand. Thank you for spreading the word!
If you know the artist and song name that is in the first half of the trailer I'd be forever grateful. Can't wait until it comes out on DVD and I can see it!
If someone could please tell me the name of the song and the artist(s) that play it that is in the first half of the trailer I would be forever grateful - I can't get the soundtrack in Canada and the myspace pages are too new!
I've seen the movie and I have to say that I'd gladly do so again. It is one of my favorites. The actors were great, and the music too. There really isn't a bad thing to say about the film.
Good film
