To be honest, for some reason Sarah Brightman doesn't sound all too great here. Wonder why. But I think that had Antonio Banderas been cast for the phantom I'd laugh at the accent, it just can't be looked at as serious, because it takes place in Paris. It'd just be hilarious. Personally, Charlotte Church plays a much better Christine Daae, and should have been cast in Emmy Rossum's place, even though I love her xD

Ok Antonio is realllllllllllllllll y fit. amazing voice. he looks really cute at the end when hes going 'SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' and shes singing really high above. plenty of vibrato from old sarah there.

Her voice was REALLY wavering in this performance, it bothered me, cuz it affected the rhythm. Did anyone else notice how God-awfully Sarah was off key during the ending cadenza until she got up the the Cs (which weren't so strong). The E was nice, but I do wonder if it was live or not.

I give Antonio an A for effort, cuz he was very into character, and he had some moments that were pretty good. He just needs a little coaching to smooth himself up around the edges.

I loved seeing the stage musical with Sarah Lawrence as Christine, John Cudia as the Phantom and Adam Monley as Raoul. I have wanted to see it for so long and I finally was able to this year. Nothing beats sitting through it in person. Thanks for helping me keep my imagination alive!

Did it ever occur to someone like you that her weight probably has nothing at all to do with her voice change? It's more likely to be her age that is catching up with her vocal cords a bit, but owning almost all of her albums, I would like to say in Sarah's defense that she STILL hit ALL of the high notes in that song with no difficulty at all.

And also perhaps she chose to sing the song deeper this time for a more dramatic effect. She can change her voice you know if you've truly heard her earlier works. It's all in the way she sings. The higher notes require a certain sound to achieve and in her most recent album, Harem, she does sing in both higher and lower ranges. Next time, if you are going to be critical, why not think about it before you speak.
