I just upgraded my RAM from 512mb to 2gb, but on the control panel when i click on sytem it shows only 1gb RAM, i have a 32 bit operating sytem, With windows vista home basic, Intel (R) Pentium (R) D CPU 3.00GHz 3.00GHz, please tell me what the problem is if you can, thank you :))

you have basic and it only can use 1GB upgrade to home premium or higher, then you can have more usable memory.

Yes thank u.. actually the RAM i had installed was not compatible to my system, thats why it didnt read, but after installing the correct RAM its showing 2gb now, thnx anyways :))
