  • it looks like laughing w/ coughing wahaha!

  • Wow!!!

    Connie sang Japanese song!

    Cute!

    Thanks for your post, Marco!

  • That's not Connie's voice she's better than that. Another thing she's laughing because of the stupid song they're making her lip synch.

  • @gamfreq That is CT there was another video of her learning the lines in 5 minutes, but u tube took it off.

  • @gamfreq well I don;t think she lip sings here. you can see her mouth matches the singing. and with lip singing the microphone isn't turned on, so that would mean we couldn;t hear her laughing and we would still hear the voice continuing to sing.

  • @gamfreq If she was lip syncing, then the song would keep playing when she was laughing. But did it, NOOOooooOOOO. Idiot.

  • she's adorable and sings a lot better than the auto tune crap they call an opening song in the english version, she has a cute laugh too :D

  • Awwww!!!! Oh my goodness!!!!!!! She is so adorable!!!! I want one!!!! Hahaha

  • This is cute, it is actually the first time I saw it .

  • I watch this over and over again! It's so funny, and cuteee!! :D I ♥ CONNIE!!!

  • I like how Noah sang it more...Noah sang it a LOT better in my opinion. O-O

  • @TheVixenAlchemist13 yes of course!! Connie can sing those songs like "you raise me up" and others.....Noah sounds better than Connie in this

  • i heard her sing alot shes trying to be cute i hayt her

  • Connie sing amazing and i love her but i don't like how she sing this song....Noah sing this song better than Connie

  • shes my 2nd cousin

  • WOW! SHE SPEAKS JAPANESE!

  • MY nephew loves this.

  • @MegaGeorgieHenleyFan Ya know when frankie and noah were doing ponyo it was japanese in there headphones and they had to say it and understand what it is saying!

  • @159loplop No they didn't. That was when they were recording the speaking & it was so they could get the timing right. Plus they had the translation/english script with them. For the singing they just had the music playing & sang the song, like any other time in a rec.studio :\ - Just 'cause you made it sound like they were just given the japanese vers & had to translate it themselves.. which obviously didn't happen xD

  • Aw :3

  • ahes soooooo talented and cute!!

  • i love this song ...thank you...=)

  • what was this for? like what's the name of the show?

  • @lilopantheist ... This was cut from a 'Music Station' (Japanese TV show) video ... now removed from YT. Connie had just flown in to Tokyo and she had only 5 minutes with the Ponyo DVD. She was then asked to sing it! ... she said "I'll try ..." and this is the (funny) result!

  • awww... it was so cute!

  • how old is connie???

  • cute :) aw she has to sing their language. and she laughed :)

  • This is a good video. I like how Connie sings it.

  • she is so adorable. Her voice is so niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Like others before me have said, It would be wonderful if it was her who sings the song :(

  • Why they not pick her to dub song? The one by Cyrus and Jonas sucked! In fact, she should have dubbed Ponyo's voice too!! :D If I become an animator, I'm hiring Connie!!! ^^

  • aww shes so adorable! <3

  • ありがとうごやいました

    Thank you very much :D

  • Meh... it is supposed to be "ありがとうございます"

    It was a typo...

  • aww she is cute she is the best i love her

  • even though you know it's wrong o.o' you can't stop loving it x'D

  • Considering her age, amazing japAnese speaker. I mean singer !

    Luv ya Connie

  • Hi, I'm Kristi, 12 years old. I've been e-mailing Connie and making friends with her. She's nice. Today, I got an e-mail and she said it was her singing. She just remembered the lyrics and sang it.

  • I Love Her Connie Forever

  • Haha... her pronunciation is awful, but her laughing is adorable.

  • The Princess of Pop Connie Talbot sings Ponyo in Conniese.

  • nooo ,, noah and frankie wuz perfect for that song! but connie did it gud as wel

  • that was sooo cute!

  • she's cute!

  • She should have been the one singing the theme in english instead of cyrus&jonas.

    Blegh.

  • @xheartlessx3 yeah...I totally agree...

  • @xheartlessx3 OMG YOUR SO RIGHT

  • @xheartlessx3

Yup. And that's why we cannot have good things because mega corps' marketing department tell us what we suppose to appreciate.

Now we only need Justin Bieber to ruin another Miyazaki movie song. >.>

  • @rockogambi NOT JUST BEAVER!!! NNOOOO! poor Mr. Miazaki!

  • cute

  • I love her beautiful laugh!

  • 違反しかしその女の子は歌を失敗しないが、歌うことで彼女が日本語私ではないのでよく彼女がよい^^彼女を失敗!!!まだそうええしたことを推測する!

  • ok she's cute, but she needs to work on her intonation. I'm just trying to be helpful. Sometimes people try to be so nice, they won't offer constructive advice. I want Connie to succeed!

  • I do understand what you're saying, but isn't she only six or seven, or something around that? Constructive criticism can be destructive rather than helpful at that age, especially if not delivered properly. And intonation is something that often comes naturally with age, anyway. Plus, she may not even be fluent in Japanese.

But, with skill like her's at her age, I don't think there's much to worry about at the moment. One is constantly learning, and she has plenty of time to learn with.

  • @0xenne

Yes, I agree with you. Besides, it seems that the little girl was probably taught the Ponyo song only an hour, or so, before she performed it. After all, she was in Japan pirmarily for interviews (and she probably did not know any of the Japanese language, at all, going into the country).

She looks to be a quick learner. Children naturally acquire other languages, if exposed to them.

  • To drunksingsheep: After viewing your video(317 views) Connie should be giving you advice not the other way around.

  • I think Connie should have dubbed the song for the movieinstead of the 2 people who did.

Connies innocent voice would fit right in I think^^

  • This was cut from a 'Music Station' video ... now removed from YT. Connie had just flown in to Tokyo and she had only 5 mins with the Ponyo DVD. She was then asked to sing it ... she said "I'll try! .." and this is the (funny) result!

  • Aw, they called her Connie-chan ^_^

  • i'm vietnamese, but i think i see some different from Ponyo theme song Japanese i usually hear

  • i especially like 0:28-0:29

    soo cute love u connie

  • aww cutee!!

  • Sugoi!! Connie's good at singing the song in Japanese!!

  • I love her laugh. She's just delightful.

  • watch Ave Maria and you'll think diffrently

  • lol!! I don't blame her for laughing i would to! and give her a brake it's chinese! She also does Italian!!

  • Japanese and Chinese are completely different.

    (they share some characters though.)

  • umm..its japanese... its not chinese cuz i AM chinese and talk /hear chinese everyday.

  • well sorry I am not Chinese or Japaneese so I really dont know the diffrence.................

  • lol its okay.i just wanted to correct you. =]

  • thanks for telling that girl that was being mean to me it means alot to me an thanks for marking it spam peace out

  • Difficult? It's a children's song, not Pavarotti.

  • yeh its difficult when your singing a fast song in a different language.

  • very funny :D

  • lol

  • She's Nervous

  • Kawaii, its not really all that easy of a song to sing, so she did pretty good I'd have to say

  • XD THAT was CUTE! "Difficult" song...but looks like she had fun...

  • Connie has the most beautiful laugh.

  • lol she is so funny love her

  • Connie at her singing best on NW Portland TV's video presentation, it isreally great and shows how her voice has matured.

Connie's super attempt at the Ponyo song is hillarious and her laughter infectious.

  • KAWAIIII <3

  • SUPER CUTE!! ♥♥

  • I absolutely love the fact that she's having so much fun with it. Always nice to see Connie laugh. :)

  • I do not understand the language but I like this song! REGARDS! :)

  • aaw how cuteee

  • Aww she's so cute! :D

  • i like english one way better

  • Does she speak Japanese?

  • no but she memorizes certain songs in diffrent lauges look at Ave Maria

  • OMG PONYO!!!!!!!!! *dies* And she did the JAPANESE version. Go Connie!

She did not destroy cute anime song. Wish I could say the same about Disney.

  • were did you get the clips

  • This was cut from a 'Music Station' video - now removed from YT. Connie had just

flown-in to Tokyo ... She had 5 minutes with the Ponyo DVD .... and was asked to sing it! .... She said "I'll try!"

    This is the (funny) result!

  • Good! You practice J-Pop kids song, Connie! GOD LOVES YOU.

  • ehhhhh she didnt pronounce words correctly she sounded very very very white now she does have guts to do that cause most others would be like no

  • SUPER CUTE!!!!!

  • 'Connie-chan' did such great job here! i don't think i could ever achieve singing in a different language!!!!

  • ??? That had to be the worst japanese pronunciation I've ever heard.

  • well, she's british and she's 8!

  • hahaa cute!!!

  • shes so cute!!

...but thoe definatly aren't the words lol

  • omg dummy she is singing in a diff language duh

  • no durr

    im japanese

  • really? then you should respect the fact that not everyone is Japanese and not everyone can pronounce japanese words as well as the people who speak the language. and like i said, shes eight.. give her a break. GO CONNIE!!!!!! PLEASE COME TO TEXAS!!!!!

  • connie knows japanese?

  • It's not the whole song and I can't understand any of thelyricsbut she sounds way better than Noah and Frankie

  • I think they're all good but Connie has always been one of my favorite singers, I just saw the Ponyo movie in english in theatres tonight, couldn't believe how cute the song was, or that Connie sung this

    -^-^-

  • aww..it was a nice attempt, even tho not 100 % accurate still nicely done all the same...she's got a pretty voice too...

  • how the hell did i get here ? i was listening to blink 182 next thing you no i got sent here :L:L lmao good song

  • cute, but i think it's difficult for a kid to sing in another language that is not of their own.

  • whoa first britans got talent,my thai tv box, then asian songs and now this?!?!?!?!?!?!?She is so amazing!

  • So cute! Especially when she giggles at the end. <3

  • Megsaku, you spelled ' original ' wrong haha. Bt, yess she is cuuute (:

  • very cute

  • LAWL

  • Comment removed

  • This is the origional dumbass. Pretty similar at least....

There version of the english Ponyo got remixed and is hip-hop and for thoe people who know the origional Ponyo and love her... We all hate what they did to the song... And it really is horrible and something to look down on...

  • I know. They ruined it. They should have atleast kept the Japanese version for the owner. ANd the only part I do like in the new version that it says, "Ponyo, Ponyo: a tiny little fish."

  • Yeah. ^^ the 'rosy, rosy, red, red' is kinda' cute. ^^ But it's supposed to say 'deep, red, red, red' -sigh- I'll still see it though. Just for Ponyo.

  • I know....

  • cute

  • She's so cute. I love connie's songs.

  • かわいい、すてきだわ

  • What?

  • Connie Talbot Your Gorgeous and Thank you for your song Your very Loved God bless.

  • She's cute when she laughed ! ANd she's very good xD

  • "Gake no ue no Ponyo" means "Ponyo on the cliff by the sea". "Ponyo" is a child of a fish which appears on Miyazaki's animated film. It's very popular in Japan.

  • wow~ ~!! so wonderful! i just cant to get the lyrics right! haha! :D

  • did she just lean 2 sing this song in japanese

  • This song, "Gake no ue no Ponyo", based on Miyazaki's animated film, is originally sung by Nozomi Ohashi, the Japanese ten-year-old girl singer. Nozomi sings this song quite well, but generally speaking, Connie sings much better and has more talent.

  • What is this song about?

  • Moratorium... this song is about an 8 year old girl who goes to a foreign country and sings a short portion of one of their songs, in THEIR language with only five minutes practice... and she does it willingly and happily because she loves to make people happy and because she is the most talented and loving 8 year old this world has ever seen... that's what this song is really about....

  • Maybe you are mentally challenged. But what matters is that your right to talk is over.

  • I'm sorry if I offended you... my comment was meant to be a praise of Connie... not to demean your question......

  • um no. the original is way better.

  • Aww! I've watched this a million times and I can't stop. It's too cute! ♥
