I believe both Pendulum and Chiller were built on the same ground that the Haunted Castle once stood. Some think that area is haunted, and until SFGA puts a memorial there honoring those killed in that horrific fire in 1984, nothing built on that site will work correctly.

@zenmachinefilms yes Pensulum was built on part of the land where Haunted Castle was the only other ride on the land where Haunted Castle was is the Autobahn.... if u really look at the front of Autobahn.... it almost looks like a castle... almost like what the Haunted Castle front looked like.

Most of these rides were a lot of fun and I was so dissappointed when I saw them removed, especially Chiller.

I think I'm most sad to see Great American Scream Machine. Cripes, that should have been a landmark.

ive been a season pass holder since 98 and three park pass season holder since 08 and ive been comin to the park since like around 96 ive seen both six flags and hurricane harbor change a lot. some of the new rides r good some of them are stupid. i gotta say tho i really miss some of these rides. the dark night and green later both suck, the chiller and gasm were both a lot better. i do hear tho in the enchanted forest where rite now its empty there opening new flat rides for nxt year

Those rides, like the bumper cars and the himalaya are still there, they just use that area (Fantasy Forest) as a picnic area for special and corporate events. Eventually though, they should re-open it because there will be more rides for everyone to enjoy.

I remember Lightning Loops ( couple of deaths there), the Enterprize, the cars on tracks. the Giant Swing,the Catapillar, the Octopus, and the Hauted House, (lots of childern died in a fire ) I'm forgetting some but it will come back to me. was there yesterday and all I have to say is it now a HUGE marketing park. EVERYTHINg is labeled with a product. Even the Runaway Train is now the POLLYO string cheese ride and the sky tram is the M&M's ride. makes me sick.

I know they got rid of Viper because it was becoming less popular(same with Great American Scream Machine), but I don't really miss it because it wasn't all that great. Batman and Robin they got rid of because they were having too many problems with it. I don't know why they got rid of one of the only good water rides in the park to make room for The Dark Knight. Pendulum was awesome and I'm mad I only got to ride it once. Spinmeister was a good one, too. I've never rode the others.

The Great Houdini Experience is still there- we just went on it this past Saturday! There was a spinning ride I remembered as kid where the floor dropped out and everyone stuck to walls. Houdini's house is still there and great adventure took alot of flat rides away they only got like 5 flat rides there and 11 rollercoasters and they took away 3 good rides that didn't work gasm batman and robin chiller and viper six flags would've been fun and had short lines now that they took away all those flat rides and make a million ppl go to those 10 or 11 rollercoasters and not those flat rides
