hey you seem to know alot about carbon fibers, so I thought I should ask you this (not a KITE question)... I was thinking about using carbon fiber to hold weights to stabilize my camera, my question is, will carbon fiber (tube) bend over time. My email is my username here on YouTube, @gmail.com... Thank you for your time sir :)
Another way is to put it in the microwave, heat up the composite bend it to where you want it then drop it in cold water. This will only work with epoxy based carbon, not polyester like most rods are made with.
If you mess up, put it in the microwave again and it will return to the straitness it had before.
you're welcome......however, not all carbon fiber splits in the same ways....the carbon i use is made by avia. they seem to use longer fibers of carbon that allow for splitting. other companies' carbon you'll need to test to see if it also splits like this.
After I got past sticking my fingers together with super glue it worked great thank you you are a star

Great ideas. Good to see some inventive ways to work with Carbon Fibre. I'm not looking at making kites, but thanks for the ideas.
