Klitschko is a true fighter with that old school style, maybe not the fanciest or prettiest style but definitely effective. Its like watching a video game, all he does is dominate his opponent. This heavyweight era is at its lowest point, there is no denying that. The 2000's have had very weak heavyweight contenders and that's why the Klitschko brothers have been able to dominate so easily. I'm not saying they're bad fighters, because I believe both brothers especially Vitali would be a real force in any heavyweight era. But look at the 1990's. You had Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis, Andrew Golota, Hasim Rahman, Ray Mercer etc. It definitely is a weak era!

The heavyweight division has been dominated by Eastern Europeans for a long time now and the only thing you hear from American announcers is how the heavyweights are at a "low point" and the division is "mediocre". It's pure bias and bespeaks poorly of sport in America, a place where merit is supposed to be all that matters. Credit where credit is due: the Eastern Europeans are the best heavyweights in the world in this era and Wlad Klitschko is the best of a very good lot.

Half the fighters are unconditioned and even the conditioned fighters are overrated farces. Take Peter, Brock, old fat Shannon Briggs, Arreola etc. are all overweight and unconditioned. Others such as David Haye are finely conditioned but lack the technique and skill to match the Klitchkos. This era is crap but I still respect the Klithckos.

This HW division is the weakest ever, it's absolute garbage. All of the would be Americans are playing American Football and Basketball which you need to be big at in order to succeed. If the Klits were born in America they'd be football players.
Don't believe me? Look at the American HW rankings, it's a bunch of fighters from the 90's, 35 and 40 year olds dominating it because American boxing in general is almost dead.
@XxHooksxX American Boxing really died when Lewis destroyed Tyson in 2002. The moment that punch hit his eye, Tyson looked like he'd been overrun by a train, American boxing died along with Mike. But boxing today is not as good as it was during the 60s & 70s. There just aren't enough prestigious fighters for the sport to really be as wonderful as it once was.
And if you want an example look at Seth Mitchell, stepped into the ring for the first time in his life in 2006 after having to quit football due to shoulder/knee injuries. Went 9-1 over 2 years, turned pro in 2008, and just defeated Ibragimov by 2nd round KO, a guy that had over 200 AM. fights, and 30 pro fights was KO'd by a newbie lmao.
That PROVES the American would be prospects are playing other sports and shows how weak the HW division is.
Tommy Zbikowski is another example. Want another one? Deontay Wilder, he's 20-0 with 20 KO's.

The Klitsckos may be onedimensional and predictable. They box in the same way new boxers learn how to box, before they develop their own style. But when their opponent knows where they hit and how hard they hit but can't do anything to prevent it, being predictable is not a bad thing. It is like running out in front of a truck. You know what is going to happen and how it is going to happen. But it is still going to happen.
The Klitchko brothers would be dominant heavyweights in any time. They are both extremely motivated, physically gifted and incredibly intelligent fighters. Sure, the heavyweight division now is full of fat big-mouthed thugs who can't fight, but that says nothing about the ability of those two guys. Its a shame because if they had fought in the early 90s, these guys would be easily in the top 10 for all time heavyweights.

Firstly, what a dull boxing career. Second, very unconvincing. Third, Tyson would have finished Klitschko early because he would have thrown punches after making him miss (unlike Haye). Yes Tyson lost to Douglas before jail when he was really good but he wasn't dominated. Good fight, Douglas fought well and with heart to get up and comeback. He is like a robot, he simply jabs with his left and sets up his straight right again and again. The Heavyweight division was entertaining when the heavyweights had some agility, and speed to match their power. Like your Ali's, Tysons, Fraziers. Heavyweights for my money have gotten too big. Two 6 foot 5+ fighters against each other usually equalls a slow, boring fight

But boxing today is not as good as it was during the 60s & 70s. There just aren't enough prestigious fighters for the sport to really be as wonderful as it once was.

Went 9-1 over 2 years, turned pro in 2008, and just defeated Ibragimov by 2nd round KO, a guy that had over 200 AM. fights, and 30 pro fights was KO'd by a newbie lmao.

The Klitchko brothers would be dominant heavyweights in any time. They are both extremely motivated, physically gifted and incredibly intelligent fighters. Sure, the heavyweight division now is full of fat big-mouthed thugs who can't fight, but that says nothing about the ability of those two guys. Its a shame because if they had fought in the early 90s, these guys would be easily in the top 10 for all time heavyweights.

Firstly, what a dull boxing career. Second, very unconvincing. Third, Tyson would have finished Klitschko early because he would have thrown punches after making him miss (unlike Haye). Yes Tyson lost to Douglas before jail when he was really good but he wasn't dominated. Good fight, Douglas fought well and with heart to get up and comeback.
