" And then other trailers came out and revealed they didnt bring the zombo's back. Still got the game tho... beat it in two days with a friend... and never played it again. did not have replay value at all.

re5 was ok, it wasn't great and all, it still plays like re4, but it was pretty fun, tons of replay values, awesome bosses, my favorite boss fight is wesker especially when you punch him in the face, that shit was awesome, it wasn't scary but I was more dissapointed at the ending, I mean seriously, what the fuck, after 7 games (including code veronica and zero) of plot twists and conspiracies around umbrella and wesker, they just kill em off and the end

I'm a HUGE Resident Evil fan, I own damn near every game. With that said, RE5 is a giant letdown story wise. It was meant to tie up to main story line started in the 1st game, but the final boss fight with Wesker was just TOO easy for how long it had been built up in the series. After beating it I just kind of sat there a moment and thought "Really?", it should have been an insane difficult fight, but it wasn't.
im kinda suprised by your complaints(not saying there wrong) but not being able to run and gun is what made res 4 good in my opinion cause the tension would not have been there if it was run and gun. Also shooting a gun while running isnt very realistic(zombies are though)

Shadows Of The Damned- the best resident evil game that's NOT resident evil......GRANTED you only get 4 weapons a pistol,shotgun,melee, and assault rifle, still has crazy amounts of variety plus the resident evil creator (Shinji Mikami) also works on it sooo...you're in good hands....downside? The only creepy part in Resident Evil 5 for me was when the lickers came into the picture...but I think that's just because of how careful you had to try to be around them so you wouldn't get ganged up on by a bunch of them.
They should let you load up on grenades like you do on bullets and not have one grenade taking up a whole box. It's soooooooo annoying!!! I hate having to randomly throw out grenades to make room for a box of bullets. Hope they fix that the next time around.
The inventory system sucks, the game being mostly in broad daylight sucks, but the run and stop thing is because thats how it was in the old games, and if it was just like a regular 3rd person shooter it would be even less of a Resident Evil game. Oh and the story kinda sucks, my favorite villain had "villainitis"(being super powerful but not killing the hero, instead talking and missing all the opportunities) and then died...

Yeah, Dead Aim wasn't really good enough to take the franchise's title. Although it was nice to see some zombies in the game again besides in the first three games, especially after playing the fourth and fifth games non-stop.

i still think that the stop/shoot mechanic is what really makes these games great, not the other way around. it's not fully realistic, then again, i don't think RE has ever been about realism. it's not like turn-based combat in RPGs is realistic either, it's just a gameplay mechanic. RE4 destroys RE5, but still, in my opinion stop/shoot makes RE great.
would be nice if the next RE would go back to its survival horror roots and place it in a cold place like antartica or siberia. A snowy place with high levels of fog and you'd have to battle it out with zombies, while trying to keep yourself warm and find suitable place to hide. by the way, have you played Cryostasis? nice concept.

Stop/Shoot is Resident Evil, which is why I don't mind it! I also agree with you though, where this game is an action game, which I don't really like, I really really LOVE Chris Redfield though (Sexy) And Jill Valentine (Kick ass) Though! I love them!! They're my favorite video game characters, re4/5 can't stand up to the older games, the Mansion Remake and 3 will always be the best I think

I think as a game in itself, Re5 is a very good,fun co--op play game, but as a Resident Evil game itself, a survival one, not so. The "Lost in nightmares" scenario is what the main game should have been like.Narrow hallways, low ammo.

Look at RE 4, there's this weird ass part in Chapter 5 where Leon is all backflipping through lasers, WTF?! @higofyp I didn't really like it either. Loved 1-3 and I didn't like the follow up that is CVX. It's praised by so many as one of the best but I totally disagree. CVX is probably the hardest out of all of them though. That game is brutal.

After waiting in front of Gamestop for 7 hours to be the first to get Resident Evil 5, I can't say I was totally disappointed but I wasn't as happy with the game as I initially thought I would have been. It was fun playing co-op with my friends and all and racing to see who got what achievements, but it didn't feel all that great to me in comparison to older games.
Lost in Nightmares though. Hooooly SHIT. That would have made an entire game by itself. It, unlike RE5 itself. was TERRIFYING.

I didnt play video games for three years idk why from 13 until late 15. and i rented resident evil 4 cause i was grounded and i was blown away by how much fun that game was and everything about it. With number 5 i got a ps3 just for that in 08 and i was dissappointed overall its an ok game but i felt there was so much they could do
I really enjoyed RE5 and the stop and shoot. That's what made it so different and not a complete Gears ripoff but that's just me. Early builds of games usually do since they are still in development and far from final touches n what not. i just like the idea that were getting the original RE characters again and maybe a throwback to the old actual survival horror type setting.
As much as I enjoyed Resi 4 & 5, I just wish they'd go back to the old style with the tank controls, limited ammo, ZOMBIES and places such as out of the way mansions and cities. I never played Resi Zero until last year and it was so refreshing after playing 4 & 5.

I like not being able to run and shoot. It's what makes this game realistic because it is very very difficult to run and shoot at the same time in real life. Also, it would just turn into an action game at that point.

im kinda suprised by your complaints(not saying there wrong) but not being able to run and gun is what made res 4 good in my opinion cause the tension would not have been there if it was run and gun. Also shooting a gun while running isnt very realistic(zombies are though)

Shadows Of The Damned- the best resident evil game that's NOT resident evil......GRANTED you only get 4 weapons a pistol,shotgun,melee, and assault rifle, still has crazy amounts of variety plus the resident evil creator (Shinji Mikami) also works on it sooo...you're in good hands....downside? The only creepy part in Resident Evil 5 for me was when the lickers came into the picture...but I think that's just because of how careful you had to try to be around them so you wouldn't get ganged up on by a bunch of them.

They should let you load up on grenades like you do on bullets and not have one grenade taking up a whole box. It's soooooooo annoying!!! I hate having to randomly throw out grenades to make room for a box of bullets. Hope they fix that the next time around.

The inventory system sucks, the game being mostly in broad daylight sucks, but the run and stop thing is because thats how it was in the old games, and if it was just like a regular 3rd person shooter it would be even less of a Resident Evil game. Oh and the story kinda sucks, my favorite villain had "villainitis"(being super powerful but not killing the hero, instead talking and missing all the opportunities) and then died...

Resident evil 5 was pretty much a catastrophe, Story pretty cool finally got to see Wesker again but Criss in last 3years their time managed to become a steroid pumped up weirdo.... Item box was stupid, when i was full you can't pause the game and change weapon, Sheva was a dumbass... i still think that the stop/shoot mechanic is what really makes these games great, not the other way around. it's not fully realistic, then again, i don't think RE has ever been about realism. it's not like turn-based combat in RPGs is realistic either, it's just a gameplay mechanic. RE4 destroys RE5, but still, in my opinion stop/shoot makes RE great.

would be nice if the next RE would go back to its survival horror roots and place it in a cold place like antartica or siberia. A snowy place with high levels of fog and you'd have to battle it out with zombies, while trying to keep yourself warm and find suitable place to hide. by the way, have you played Cryostasis? nice concept.

Point is Players are to blame on that .. they buy every RE game that is even if it has really shity flaws .. I didn't both the game .. I borowed it from a friend played like 2 hours and decided its boring shit .. They added more action yet they didn't adapted the controls for action .. Soo its a mess .. eliminated the puzzles i mean puzzles .. Pressing a fucking button 2 steeps away to open gate isn't a puzzle.

Stop/Shoot is Resident Evil, which is why I don't mind it! I also agree with you though, where this game is an action game, which I don't really like, I really really LOVE Chris Redfield though (Sexy) And Jill Valentine (Kick ass) Though! I love them!! They're my favorite video game characters, re4/5 can't stand up to the older games, the Mansion Remake and 3 will always be the best I think

I think as a game in itself, Re5 is a very good,fun co--op play game, but as a Resident Evil game itself, a survival one, not so. The "Lost in nightmares" scenario is what the main game should have been like.Narrow hallways, low ammo.

The co-op (which I'm not a fan of) was only added the racist outcries after the initial trailers were released. Capcom showed a little cowardice there.
The rumours are that RE6 will be a reboot of the series. I hope it'll be good, but the rumours of Capcom getting a Western development house to develop it have already left a bad taste in my mouth.

One of the best reviews of Resident Evil 5 I read, summed it up like this: "The original Resident Evil formula took almost ten years to become stale. This time, it only took one sequel."
Resident Evil 4 was one of the best games I've ever played. Capcom set the standard so high that it was always going to be a tough act to follow. I do like RE5, but it's not a patch on RE4.
Shinji Mikami's vision of light and heat effecting Chris were abandoned after he left Capcom. Those things sounded good.

@higofyp I didn't really like it either. Loved 1-3 and I didn't like the follow up that is CVX. It's praised by so many as one of the best but I totally disagree. CVX is probably the hardest out of all of them though. That game is brutal.

After waiting in front of Gamestop for 7 hours to be the first to get Resident Evil 5, I can't say I was totally disappointed but I wasn't as happy with the game as I initially thought I would have been. It was fun playing co-op with my friends and all and racing to see who got what achievements, but it didn't feel all that great to me in comparison to older games.
Lost in Nightmares though. Hooooly SHIT. That would have made an entire game by itself. It, unlike RE5 itself. was TERRIFYING.

I agree resident evil 4 was creepy but not 5. I love survival horror but I generally don't like shooters. I love R E 1 & 2 but I didn't enjoy 5. ok first off i love the resident evil series. I didnt play video games for three years idk why from 13 until late 15. and i rented resident evil 4 cause i was grounded and i was blown away by how much fun that game was and everything about it. Me and my boy beat that game like 14 times and that game brought me back to gaming and no i collect for like 6 systems. With number 5 i got a ps3 just for that in 08 and i was dissappointed overall its an ok game but i felt there was so much they could do

I really enjoyed RE5 and the stop and shoot. That's what made it so different and not a complete Gears ripoff but that's just me. As for the series, the reason for it being not scary and disappointing is because the main man behind the series doesn't work for Capcom anymore which sucks! But anyway nice review! When I seen that you made this video I expected you to completely rape the game based on what you said before. As much as I enjoyed Resi 4 & 5, I just wish they'd go back to the old style with the tank controls, limited ammo, ZOMBIES and places such as out of the way mansions and cities. I never played Resi Zero until last year and it was so refreshing after playing 4 & 5.
