I think all of those jewels in that one part of the video are kakeras...and the one Rika was holding was the perfect Kakera where everyone survives and moves on past the cotton drifting festival. And I think when Bernkastel revealed herself to Miyo, she was re-weaving the kakera because she had won the game...Just a theory.

Does anyone else notice that Miyo Takano looks similar to Lambdadelta and that their names both pretty much mean 34? The same with Rika and Bern? Personally I think that Higurashi is just like a chess game to the witches in Umineko... but that's what I think. I wonder what it truly is.

My theory on Bernkastel:

She existed before Rika. The bit at the end of Kai is her manifesting to invite Miyo to be a witch. The entire Higurashi is the witches playing a game.

In Umineko: Bern is called the witch of miracles who can make anything happen if the probability isn't zero. From Higu, we know how she makes her miracles happen - by rewinding time until things work.

Hanyuu wasn't running out of power. Bern just decided everything up to then was fine and didn't need to be redone.

I'm used to Eiko singing Higurashi songs, and the operatic songs for Umineko. The lyrics always lead me astray. Because it has to do with each series, and I know I really shouldn't be looking at it, but that's how I roll. ;3

I said I was used to Eiko singing Higurashi openings, and for Umineko, I prefer Akiko as the singer.

It has to do with the setting.

Higurashi is more of the dark, mysterious, "what the hell is happening" type.

Umineko has the setting of an upper-class, more mannered, sadistic, and woe begotten theme. Which makes opera sound nice with it.
