I think you all should read Article one, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. Outlines the powers of congress. Nothing in there on food, health or living subsidies. Constitution means restriction - mainly governmental restriction. Government should not being doing anything about jobs, houses, food, or health. The third party needs to back off.
If government does do something keep it within town/city, country, state. Exactly in that order.

These are my thoughts.... The government is in desperate need of funds now. If this thing passes they start collecting taxes now. It has nothing to do with health care or helping people. It is another way to milk more taxes from the people. I doubt by the time Obamacare actually kicks in there will be enough money left to run it. That's assuming that our economy is still in tact by then.

If you account for population growth since the early 90's. Food stamps is only 1 percent higher of total population than it was at its highest peak right after the 1990's recession. Considering that this is much worse than the 1990's 1 percent is hardly earth shattering. @mario72342 WWII saved the economy. The life expectancy was a lot lower back then then it is now. So it (social security) was more manageable back then because less people were on it. But I don't think you will find anyone that can intelligible make the argument that a government entitlement program ever improves the economy it is often what makes it worse.
I have paid in for over 36 years. I don't classify it as a entitlement program. It was my money the gov forced me to pay in. If they had invested it properly it would be there for me at retirement time. The only way wwll saved the economy was it left factories that made goods sold abroad. Then the unions and big gov shipped all of that production over seas and to mexico leaving US with a retail economy that required borrowing instead of producing. I think it's the pricing of medical services and pharmacuticals. Since I work at a hospital I think $2700 for one cat scan is rediculous. Then if your blood dosent clot right we got some stuff that is $40,000 a syringe. I knew a patient that was getting a syringe every 8 hrs for a week. Health care reform is a goverment power grab. 1. Tort reform, (no more ridiculous multi-million dollar lawsuits for spilled hot coffee)
2. no more mandates on coverage (example, choose your own type of plan, if you don't want maternity coverage, you should not be required to have it)
3. mandatory co-pays which will eliminate unnecessary doctor visits by people that will take advantage of 'free healthcare'
4. no coverage for illegal immigrants
Will democrats consider this? no, because it will cost them votes.

These are my thoughts.... The government is in desperate need of funds now. If this thing passes they start collecting taxes now. It has nothing to do with health care or helping people. It is another way to milk more taxes from the people. I doubt by the time Obamacare actually kicks in there will be enough money left to run it. That's assuming that our economy is still in tact by then.

If you account for population growth since the early 90's. Food stamps is only 1 percent higher of total population than it was at its highest peak right after the 1990's recession. Considering that this is much worse than the 1990's 1 percent is hardly earth shattering. Im surprised it isn't much higher by now considering we also got a lot more illegal aliens and their anchor babies.

When there are more people going on food stamps, I'll be going to invest more useful items this weekend for my Bug Out Bag. What amazes me are all these dumbasses who choose to ignore all of these warnings about the upcomming collapse. I will be starting my own garden soon and will be picking up some field repair kits for my rifles. Also will be getting a water purifier as well. @mario72342 WWII saved the economy. The life expectancy was a lot lower back then then it is now. So it (social security) was more manageable back then because less people were on it. But I don't think you will find anyone that can intelligible make the argument that a government entitlement program ever improves the economy it is often what makes it worse.

I have paid in for over 36 years. I don't classify it as a entitlement program. It was my money the gov forced me to pay in. If they had invested it properly it would be there for me at retirement time. The only way wwll saved the economy was it left factories that made goods sold abroad. Then the unions and big gov shipped all of that production over seas and to mexico leaving US with a retail economy that required borrowing instead of producing. Ever seen a company buy more then they sell?

I think it's the pricing of medical services and pharmacuticals. Since I work at a hospital I think $2700 for one cat scan is rediculous. Then if your blood dosent clot right we got some stuff that is $40,000 a syringe. I knew a patient that was getting a syringe every 8 hrs for a week. Health care reform is a goverment power grab. When the economy collapses the goverment will own everthing and expect us to rely on them.

Obama wanted a Single Payer plan, and offered to make discussions public. (That changed obviously)
Now he wants a government option, which wont address the issue. The issue being that you pay the most for health care in the U.S. and leave so many without.
If the U.S. cut military spending, which they wont, you could afford a single payer system. Theres alot of issues that need to be addressed first... but your taxes are going up up up up.

Dear Demcad, presidents don't hold power at all. They are a front face, but the parallel power structures are in the corporations. You forgot to mention that Pennsylvania is helping delinquent homeowners pay their mortgages. The food stamp numbers are not new. They are just being made public. The elite class knows that if people can eat, any other protest will be symbolic. Its obvious to me that the decision has been made that the people will be allowed to subsist and nothing more. I wrote before that if these foreclosures go off with no resistance, the steam roller will keep building momentum.

We need to weed people off the system. You can't just drop people because many will have no idea how to adapt. But we have to get real serious about reducing the dependency of the population. Rome used to have public holidays every other day with FREE meals. That worked for more than 100 years, but I don't think I have to tell you you what happened at the end of that system. We're humans just like the Romans were; we're no better than they were.
