CGI VS Man In A Rubber Suit. I'll go with Man In A Rubber Suit because it looks more realistic. I'll admit that Zilla has a more realistic appearance, but I don't like that CGI is taking over everything. At least Godzilla looks real because he is in a rubber suit.

You know, this kinda makes me mad. Well, I knew that the Japanese Godzilla would win, I even wanted him to win. Go google "Physics of Kaiju" for a good article on a scientific investigation into the physics of kaiju... when you examine the laws of science actually the Japanese Godzilla makes far more sense than Zilla.
Even though Zilla is pretty badass, if Godzilla and Zilla ever had a fight Godzilla would probably win even though the 2 are almost evenly matched. Godzilla is slightly bigger and shoots a blue lazer beam out of his mouth. Zilla is faster than Godzilla and his dorsal spikes are a lot sharper so he can use them as a weapon, he also has more agility, allowing him to strike multiple times very quickly. But if Godzilla didn't have the mouth-lazer Zilla might win.
@sdawg310 no man, Zilla was taken out by a couple of Harpoon antiship missiles while Godzilla just lumbers into anything the JSDF (confirmed by Janes to have the most efficient monster suppression force in the world) can throw at it without even so much as slowing down.

@sdawg310 actually the Japanese Godzilla is more realistic according to the laws of physics. Due to the inverse square law, Godzilla should have bones harder than steel and skin tougher than boiler plate due to its sheer mass. A flesh and blood animal that size would simply explode into jelly under its own weight. The stumpy, clumsly and incredibly tough Godzilla is actually MORE realistic than Zilla which is quite apparently a flesh and blood creature.
Got news for you folks: Zilla is most likely what Godzilla WOULD have looked like if the Japanese had CGI back in the 50s. They used a dude in a rubber suit because, well, that's all they had and stuck with the concept since. Have a nice day.

Zilla never stood a chance cause it was made by the French. Toho Zilla was better than Tristar Zilla. Tristar Zilla would of ran away knowing a bullet can take it out. But Toho Zilla actually took Godzilla head on. Its short fight and death in a monster fight redeemed itself in the crap 1998 version.

Even though Zilla is pretty badass, if Godzilla and Zilla ever had a fight Godzilla would probably win even though the 2 are almost evenly matched. Godzilla is slightly bigger and shoots a blue lazer beam out of his mouth. Zilla is faster than Godzilla and his dorsal spikes are a lot sharper so he can use them as a weapon, he also has more agility, allowing him to strike multiple times very quickly. But if Godzilla didn't have the mouth-lazer Zilla might win.

@sdawg310 no man, Zilla was taken out by a couple of Harpoon antiship missiles while Godzilla just lumbers into anything the JSDF (confirmed by Janes to have the most efficient monster suppression force in the world) can throw at it without even so much as slowing down.
It is not even a contest. There is not much Zilla can do to even scratch Godzilla's hide, he'll probably just annoy Godzilla which will be a bad thing.

@rexregum the thing you said about the military shooting down Zilla with missiles, people said that for the movie that ''Godzilla'' being indestructable wasn't realistic and tried to make a more "serious" approach, but thats horse sh*t! Thats like trying to make Spiderman realistic and not letting him shoot webs (yeah, I know cinamassacre said the EXACT same thing). but what i'm saying is Zilla is a formidable opponent, Godzilla would still win, but Zilla won't go down without a fight

@sdawg310 actually the Japanese Godzilla is more realistic according to the laws of physics. Due to the inverse square law, Godzilla should have bones harder than steel and skin tougher than boiler plate due to its sheer mass. A flesh and blood animal that size would simply explode into jelly under its own weight. The stumpy, clumsly and incredibly tough Godzilla is actually MORE realistic than Zilla which is quite apparently a flesh and blood creature.

Granted, "inside sources" can't afford to be to explicit or risk getting fired, but with something as important as whether or not the movie is GINO 2, you'd think Legendary would make a press release available or something.
There's a chance it won't destroy the entire franchise, but it's just a chance.

Zilla never stood a chance cause it was made by the French. Toho Zilla was better than Tristar Zilla. Tristar Zilla would of ran away knowing a bullet can take it out. But Toho Zilla actually took Godzilla head on. Its short fight and death in a monster fight redeemed itself in the crap 1998 version.
