The reverb etc. is just texture. Try a Fender using middle&neck pickup together through a clean amp with a bit of spring reverb.

Maybe a late model squire is more your speed because the strat he is playing is vinatge and is bad ass. So... I'm going to have to disagree with you, this does work quite nicely. I'd like to see you attempt that outro and come anywhere near what his sounds like, he did not miss a note. It is sure easy to criticize people's talents within the comforts of your own home knowing you don't have to put yourself out there for critics to prey on you. Show a little class next time.
