I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
The Fiat 500 was designed from the start as a minimum space and energy vector for 2 adults and two boys( or a grown up dog or some shoppers). For short urban commuting.
It actually DESERVED to be freed by the antiquate ICE. It has kept ALL his caracteristics, BUT the terrible noise of the engine. it fed up the driver into few minutes, and the oooomp was quite a feeble one, to be honest, not to talf of the exaust stink
Come on ! That Little 500 doesn't need a silly electric conversion. It sounds lovely , and has just enough 'oomph'. An Electric Conversion is Ridiculous!
noisy, uncomfortable, cramped, slow & unreliable yet still I love my Bambina, Wouldn't have it any other way
