Rainie is actually cantonese cuz shes from guangzhou...well she was born there. But she then moved to taiwan. she now knows mando. She cant speak canto fluently but some and she can listen to canto without difficulty. Watch her interviews with TVB and she even says there herself.

Taiwanese is what the natives spoke. A good portion of Taiwan can speak Taiwanese. If you ever watch Taiwanese dramas, they sometimes mix in some Taiwanese with the Mandarin.

i think there is... i think that people who lives in "taiwan" wants them to be known as "taiwanese" and not "chinese" because to them chinese mean that they live in "China" weird... but it's what my chinese teacher told us!
