@reinxeedfreak I live in the UK, and the majority follow the tripe imported from the US. I prefer bands like Sonata Arctica, because not only are they different, I actually like them. I think that if, instead of rap or hip-hop, the UK were shown more bands like this, they would start liking them because it's 'the cool thing to do'. I don't follow crowds, I follow what I like. The more talented bands are never truly recognised as amazing bands because of that other tripe -.-

Soundgarden went big. In fact, they were one of the first Seattle bands to sign to a major label. I don't see people calling them sell outs. Maybe it is because Soundgarden stayed true to their sound.

I think the best part of this song is the countdown at 3:25. It builds up the anticipation, and right when you expect to hear "one!", you DON'T hear it. I don't know how to explain it, but it builds up such feeling with the countdown, and lets the rest of the song speak for the "one" you don't hear. I don't know. That's what I get out of it anyways.

Old School Hip Hop/Underground Hip Hop is good. But as always the mainstream shit hides the real musical talent.
USA got great bands. They're usually a blend of Prog Metal, Deathcore and Metalcore though. And ofc, there's the legend metal of US like Slayer etc.
Although, some of the really kick ass metal bands are from Europe.

@asdehydroxx I would normally defend Nightwish but in no way are they more creative than Sonata Arctica and at the present are a very generic band in fact. The musicians of Sonata Arctica are technically more proficient in their instruments.
