  • An ex-CSOR?

  • please watch your language mreil23.thank you.

  • i like trains..

  • anyone know the schedule for this train?...i've never seen the bridge operate

  • What type of horn is that? It sounds like an out-of-tune RS3L.

  • wow, an ex CSO engine

  • Jeez Whats That Smell For a Train

  • dwd free full: /watch?v=oYyVtQHtwwo

    train simulator 2011 update june

  • Wow, Not a really good horn but a pretty busy train! Nice video! Thumbs up!

  • die machinisten toeteren te veel 1 keer is genoeg

  • @TransitNCTD Agreed. Must be a Leslie or something similar.

  • Wow those signals has poor maintenance. If it was well maintained It wouldn't be as rough as it is now.

  • Does the bottom yellow light always flash like that, or only when a train is drawing near?

  • So that's how a traffic-light preemptor works with railroad crossings.

  • stop zooming!

  • nice vid! those guys are assholes for saying you have a gay voice!! anyways i really enjoy ur videos

  • All you need at ANY crossing is a traffic light.

  • @MrJacksito1 yeah, I wish it was everywhere!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't understand why they don't put stoplights in at EVERY crossing. Would bring the government out of any recession.

  • 1:35 my ears hurt.

  • My buddy lives across from the SEMASS plant in Rochester where these trains unload. The smell from the plant is HORENDOUS !!!

  • why do you sound so gay

  • @MrRocknrollheaven Why do you sound so stupid?

  • @OfficerNelson WHY DO YOU SOUND SO STUPID COCK SUCKER

  • When I was a kid 60 years or so ago we had a summer place in Bourne. On a weekend night we would go down to the station at Buzzards Bay and see 4 passenger trains in there all at once. There was alot of NY, NH & H RR traffic coming and going to Boston and New York from Hyannis and Woods Hole. A Mr. Duffy was the station master so we called it Duffy's Parade. Pretty exciting time then. Saw a steam engine pass thru once. Mostly diesels.

  • Thanks, skyman, for showing how the traffic signal works.

I expected it to turn yellow when the crossing signal activated. Not before.

  • @robertgift Yellow is more of a caution signal. Red is a stop. Makes sense when you think about it for it to flash yellow (meaning passive), then turn yellow without flash (caution), and then red. (stop)

  • i love the bell sound

  • Why did the add that traffic light in front?

  • Kinda comical in a way. The traffic light turns red, the railroad crossing lights starts to flash and suddenly a train horn blast shortly after the lights start flashing. Usually lights would flash forever before a train blows the horn.

  • Its lights looks like the lights at McKeon Road.

  • I'm going to cape cod this april!!!

  • We have that exact signal at our railroad club. Someone who worked fo CN donated it to us when CN was replacing their signals. We have it running when we meet.

  • that is an odd light...never seen a blinking light b4

  • All rr crossings should have a traffic light like that. Maybe it will help stop drivers from treating railroad crossing signals like mere stop signs.

  • I love that S3L horm!!! I like the S3L better then the RS3L. 5*****!!!

  • Hey...stop zooming in on the crossing lights. It'd make the vid look a whole lot better if you instead focused on the train itself. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise good video.

  • What's up with the horn?

  • Dude stop being a bitch! does he tell you how to run you FUCKING TRAIN THEN SHUT UP watch it hoe!

  • That crossing activates too late in my opinion. It should activate when the light turns yellow after blinking.

  • Pretty cool crossing!

  • Sorry, but I can't watch jigglevision.

  • Knock it off he don't tell you how to watch/ make your goddamn VIDEOS!

  • Why are the gate lights orange?

  • Also, why is there a traffic light-thing in front of the signal?

  • I think that is a B39-8E. *I think.* Love this video!!!!!!!!

  • been seeeing this baby every year of my life till like 2 years ago

  • Dude That Video Rocks

  • WEAR ITS FROM DAD WANT TO KNOW

  • Cape Cod Mass, probably bourne or buzzards bay area

  • Luv them things, the smell rumble everything!

  • thats a cool design how they have a light that shows you when the bells at the crossing turn on.

  • no...

  • Nice capture, Skyman!

Try also to show the light on the signal relay shed - if there is one.

Also what is that signal on the other side of the road?

Only 20 seconds from RXR signal activation to train arrival.

But Traffic signal changes at :55

Train arrives at 1:20 = 25 seconds warning time.

    Your traffic signal turns red.

Then distant signal turns green to allow any vehicles backed up onto the crossing to clear the track while new vehicles do not enter the crossing.

  • love that horn

  • now thats what i call train in determination

  • horn sounds like the robot from War of the worlds

  • Hallo!

Why are there two differen light signals? First the usual traffic lights in amber and red and than the red alternate flashing lights?

  • We usually only use the two red flashing lights. But in this case there is an intersection just beyond the tracks that could cause traffic to stop on or near the tracks. Different places in USA deal with this in different ways. Some use green-yellow-red. This one is flashing yellow-yellow-red. The flashing yellow is on all the time until a train approaches. It warns/reminds traffic not to stop on the tracks.

  • ah - thanks! :-)

  • Isn't that the garbage train (or, as it's called, the Energy Train)?? Did it smell awful as it passed???

  • It Did Smell Bad, But I Think CSX's Trash Trains Smell Worse.

  • I guess that figures. How often does this thing run, anyway??

  • @skyman2002 Agreed!

  • @skyman2002 I saw an NS Trash Train, it Stunk bad.

  • sweet!

  • That train used to go through E. Sandwich every day at 8 and 4 o'clock.

You can't tell in the video but if you're near it, the horn is loud enough to make your ears ring. On a quiet summer night you can hear it 5 miles away.

  • Interesting video. Thanks.

    Why the useless traffic signal?

What does the traffic signal do AFTER the train passes?

Crossing signal stops and yellow traffic signal flashes?

Are there traffic signals for opposing traffic?

  • PS

If you do get another video, could you catch the lights going back to yellow flash.

    -Thanks again

  • Those signals seemed to be linked to the intersection just past the crossing. The camera turned at just the right moment and I couldn't tell, but does the intersection go into a flash mode? Would like to see another video with both those signals at the crossing in it.

    -Thanks

  • I like the suspense and the frenzied finale.

Where does the train work between? In my inadequate atlas there seem to be no rails in this region. Thanks for posting and Best wishes from England.

  • finally another train is coming....come here man and u will shit you pants at the trains i get...

  • Hey King cory.

  • I know the bell is WCH type, for a moment it looked like a tear drop. Oh well...

  • actually the new railroad isn't getting gp38's. they are getting gp9's upgraded to gp38 status

  • That crossing signal isn't the most ubiquitous :) I like the flashing yellow since it warns drivers that you should always be cautious at railroad crossings. Good vid, hope make more!

  • actually it was announce today that bay colony was out bid by the Cape Cod central for the freight contract. they will have new trash cars and will use 4 GP38-2's. from where i don't know yet

  • YAY!! that sounds good!

  • @WSOR10C I guess tourist is not making ends met for Cape Cod Central. lol!

  • no i mean that a new railroad has 99% sure out bid them on the contract. the same people who own the scenic train

  • that GE is a B39-8 built in the 80's. it work as a lease unit on BN/bnsf until recently. the bay colony may be leaving soon too.

  • May i ask what you mean by "the bay colony may be leaving soon too" Do you mean the Engine? Thank you for your comment.

  • The railroad itself

  • I know you're a crossing fan, but could you get it at the bridge next time?

  • Awesome!

  • Great classic man!

  • Good video of some classic signals! I think that was a 4-axle GE locomotive, and you don't see many of those around anymore, either.
