I absolutely love this remix. Reeder has done this monumental track real justice. I don't agree with what some people say that it is crap. Yes the original is a masterpiece but this is his interpretation and I take it for what it is. I like it. I had never heard of him before I heard his remix of Bad Lieutenant and since, I've been checking out his other remixes and I am converted. His remix of A Forest is equally staggeringly brilliant. Where has he been hiding all these years?

More commercial but sounds great. Better than most of the music today.

I think the negative reactions are a bit exaggerated... This new version is certainly not bad, but I have to admit I prefer the original one, which is more atmospheric, more mysterious also... This version is a bit too fast, for my taste anyway...

I really really love this new version! And I will def. buy it when it got released :)) It must be a lot of work & effort to create this new mix.

As for for someone who thinks he/she is more professional out there, should not really have made such unprofessional and unkind comments towards this cool new mix. To be honest, it only shows how incompetent and vicious streak in his personality. if he's doing some advertising here... it's a bad PR I must say.

@ marcmitchell - sorry, but for someone who alleges to be such a huge fan of this song and john foxx, i think your harsh comments of how crap the mix is, is rather disrespectful to john's judgement as an artist since he officially commissioned this. if you personally don't like it fine, john on the other hand is no doubt very happy with it. you can't please all of the people all of the time. ;-)

@BlackersOldBean what a load of rubbish, i've been listening to and buying john foxx's music for nearly 30 years and i make my own judgement about what constitutes a good song or mix, regarless of what john or anyone else thinks. don't you have a mind of your own? do you ask all your favorite artists for their permission for you to like a piece of music?!!

@BlackersOldBean exactly, well i feel this remix is just as disrespectful to johns work as you say my words are.. cant believe he commissioned this.. doesn't mean he likes it.. why not put the parts out for hundreds if not thousands of people to remix ? that way you will please all the people & create allot more buzz / advertising / marketing for said project. this remix is truly deeply rubbish & thats a sad thing, because the original tune is timeless & inspiring..

please send me the parts, ill show you wot a underpass remix should sound like.. for a start in 5.1 & more respective of the original.. this is truly an awful remix. someone take the guitars off him, you can actually here there bored in there playing.. the mix is awful, unbalanced & crude, totally gutted & saddened by this totally un-professional sound of this remix.

wots with the boring rolling bass line running through it, you would think with parts like that you would make a brilliant remix, this just sounds lazy.. its so frustrating watching others get a chance to remix such amazing songs.. for them to go F*ck it up...

underpass is my all time fav song ever.. but this sounds shit.. i so hope the gig in june doesn't sound as bad as this.. just stick to the original john dont try to make it something its not.. & this isnt..
