I recall seeing this documentary when it was originally aired and being utterly floored by just how beautifully composed and shot it is. as a fan of Poe and horror fiction in general, I found it to be far more effective and atmospheric than a great many movies that parade under the "horror" label. I agree, I had it on DVD and love watching it. It's very relaxing in a weird sort of way. I wish he'd do some more.
